I love this spread. Have been using for years. I recently went to purchase my usual and noticed the packaging was slightly different in size. It was still the original spread with the same photo on front. It now has canola oil in it instead of soybean oil, and it's 10 calories more per serving. Tastes a little different and seems more watery. Not pleased. My ratings are based on the new formula. Prior formula would have 5 stars across the board.

Country Crock Original gives our sugar cookies that great taste, its impossible to only have one! The recipe continues to be passed on for the next generation to bring the family together in the kitchen.

Although I do love the idea of "real" butter? I have found that Original Country Crock has a better consistency, slight saltiness, and melting quality that I find superior to regular salted butter! I was skeptical to bake with it...but this past Christmas, it came through just fine (tho some of the old time family recipes I wouldn't substitute...) but I was extremely pleased with the baking capability also

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like how easy this is to spread and how you can use it in everything! I use it on toast and I also scoop some and put it in a bowl to melt ontop of my air-popped popcorn! it works very well and I am pleased overall!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always choose country crock because I like the taste. Also I don't drink milk and I like that it includes calcium so in my mind it helps me get what I'm lacking when I'm using a product I would use anyway.

It really tastes great on toast, a bagel or even melted on vegetables like broccoli. I find I only need a little to add a nice boost of flavor to my meals. The whole family enjoys Country Crock Original too including my children.

I have since used this spread on various foods, like toast and potatoes, and even used it to bake a batch of chocolate chip cookies. The taste is delicious and creamy, it spreads well, and the cookies were delicious. I will be keeping Country Crock Original on hand in my house from now on!

I have tried many different brands of "butter spread." I have always preferred butter. But, recently, I got a coupon for a free sample of Country Crock. I purchased the original style and I am impressed with the "spreadability" of it. I love it on toast. It also works great in mashed potatoes.
