I received a complimentary Country Crock Original Spread to review and with my family of ten people, it was a hit almost all around. My girls really appreciated that they were able to quickly make toast and not have to wait for the butter to thaw out enough to spread on their toast. The flavor was good and didn't have that plastic taste that other brands have. Overall it was great. It left a bit of an aftertaste but it wasn't a bad one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I honestly have been avoiding butter, because all of our butter melts and turns rancid in our butter bell. I have no need to sit around and constantly try and thaw butter to use for dinner rolls or in the morning when I am on a rush to get out the door. Country Crock made something that actually makes me want to use butter. My child loves the flavor, I can't tell the difference between it and any other hard regular stick butter, aside from the smooth easy spreading. I love making grilled cheeses with it, and actually having it at the table is no longer a joke.

I love that Country Crock works for all of my favorite breakfast dishes. I can use the spread to oil the pan for eggs or pancakes. And it also tastes great spread on waffles or biscuits. Today I used it to make a yummy cookie recipe that was provided to me. It was super easy and delicious.

I was selected to test out Country Crock spread for free from Influenster and Country Crock. I picked out the Original flavored tub and we got to work testing it out. First, we used it on homemade, toasted bread. It spreads amazingly from the fridge, and tastes creamy and rich. We're a butter -loving family, so it definitely doesn't taste like butter, but it brought back fond memories for my husband and I who grew up on margarine. I used it in a batch of allergy-free cookies with it, since it is dairy free, and they turned it great. I can definitely feel better about using it over plain shortening. All natural ingredients are hard to contend with! The cookies came out chewy, and perfect. I have a nephew with dairy allergies, so this will be perfect for his treats. We also melted some for popcorn, which made it kind of greasy and unappealing. My daughter who loves buttered popcorn wouldn't eat it. Maybe not the best use if you're used to butter. Overall, the spreadability was great. It made great dairy-free cookies, and it tastes awesome as far as other margarine brands go. Will it replace butter for us? No, but if we're looking for something for allergy-friendly cooking, it is perfect!

I used it as spread toast and as oil substitute to cook. It worked very well. I liked the taste and the results were very similar to butter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I rec'd a free coupon to try this product and I thought I would like the idea of a "low calorie" butter but personally I don't think this product tastes anything like butter. I don't think you can not have the calories and have the taste of butter, ever. And for that I will cut calories somewhere else to keep real butter in my life!
