I thought I was the only one to notice the change in taste of the new simple recipe. So I got on the webpage to read the reviews and was surprised to find so many dissatisfied with it. I don't like real butter and only ate other spreads when someone didn't have country crock at their house, but now I will have to find a new alternative. Doubt I will find something as good as the old recipe. Please change it back!

To those claiming this product is accidentally vegan, please stop and do your research because you affect peoples lives making them think this! This product is not vegan and as far as I know, NONE of the country crock products are vegan. The natural flavors in it, contain whey, which IS A DAIRY PRODUCT!!! This product is not dairy-free, it's not vegan. Please be aware!

i have chronic gastritis and im not supposed to have vinegar, the label in store said it didnt contain it but online (and here) it does. i noticed my stomach started burning out of nowhere (only bought it because the store didnt have my usual butter and had to buy this) after having it yesterday, so looked it up in investigation. bought it because it didnt have anything "bad" in it until discovering this. wish they would have had this on the back label, unless they dont use it anymore. it can hurt people like me with health conditions :-(

The taste didn't amaze me too much because it tastes like other brand's butter, it wasn't smoother or creamier to me. But it did work well for baking chocolate chip cookies. I also like the consistency because it was like a cream instead of stick which is easier to work with.

I enjoyed making cookies with the Country Crock Make it Yours recipe. Very easy and customizable. Country Crock made it delicious!

The worst improvement ever. The new simple recipe taste horrible! I have been eating Country Crock Original since I was a child and never thought I would have to change brands. But now that they changed the taste I have no choice. Hopefully they realize there mistake and change back to the original.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried country crock original spread recently, I usually only use real butter, but for free I'll try almost anything. I was really impressed how well it tasted and truly didn't notice any difference with baking. My baked goods tasted no different than when I use butter. I liked that it was easier to cook with than butter in most recipes, it is already fairly soft, so there was little wait from taking the spread from the fridge to it being soft and ready to use. I will definitely be keeping some of this around and plan to try the light version next!

It brings me back to many childhood memories of making toast in the morning. I love that it's spreadable and tastes delicious. I plan to cook with it more now that I've been reintroduced.

My family and I really love this stuff! It tastes great in anything we use it in or on and we especially like how easy it is to spread even though it was the original and not the spreadable version! The container fits nicely in the fridge being less bulky than the previous container they used and they make great containers for leftovers or lunches when they have been emptied. Their price was around the same for other brands but honestly we liked the taste of the Country Crock to our usual brand. I would most certainly recommend Country Crock to my family and friends!
