This does not smell or taste like any sourdough bread I've ever bought. Another subpar Sam's bakery item I've wasted my money on. Why is it that all bread items taste a week old.

This is the best commercial sourdough I have ever tasted. The level of sour is significant. The crumb texture is more like a rustic white bread. Excellent product.

the bread is great, but they changed from the full plastic bag to a half paper bag, this bag causes the bread to go stale very quickly and quickly becomes too crunchy to eat as bread

FANTASTIC bread! Would be 5 stars on the bread alone, but the new paper/plastic hybrid packaging is USELESS for keeping this bread fresh. Now it's only good if you plan on using it all at once. They ruined a nearly perfect product.

Bread has an odd smell...like some type of oil on the crust but there is no oil in the recipe. It has the sour flavor but the interior is very crumbly and is not good for making a sandwich. The crust is tough and hard to slice so using this as a bread bowl may be a better use. I may return it and definitely won't buy it again.

Nice size btead. I personally didn't like the taste. Too chemical tasting.
