FANTASTIC bread! Would be 5 stars on the bread alone, but the new paper/plastic hybrid packaging is USELESS for keeping this bread fresh. Now it's only good if you plan on using it all at once. They ruined a nearly perfect product.

Purchased bread on Jan 1. The label states it was made on 12/31 and best if used by 1/5. Well, by 1/5 the bread was as solid as a rock. I'm not sure if the ingredients changed or what happened, but it was useless.

It wasn’t as sour as I’d been hoping and didn’t have the density that a true sour dough typically has. It wasn’t bad bread, but if you hadn’t told me it was sour dough, I wouldn’t have guessed it was.

Since my sourdough starter died I haven't been able to make my bread. While at Sam's I saw a lovely loaf of Sourdough bread and have enjoyed it plain or toasted. No hassle or time involved! Just eat!

I love this bread. Great texture, tart sourdough flavor, just like the breads I ate growing up in California. Has it been discontinued? Please bring it back!!!

hard as rock cutting into slices is hard i wish sams buy machine to cut this bread into slices when its fresh . when it becomes hard so hard to cut. i cut my finger while cutting it with bread knife. taste great though

Great bread but new packaging makes it dry before I even open it at home. I've had to throw out about half of the loaf each time after a few days. Old packaging was way better

I’ve had better tasting whole wheat sour dough, but it was worth a try. The price is good but for a couple more bucks, I’d buy from wholefoods or sprouts.

This bread was pretty good, but I like the sourdough bread from other places better. The crust/outer edges were good but the middle was too soft and crumbly. It tasted like white bread not much of a sourdough flavor. The price was really good. I might get it again if I’m already at Sam’s club.

Have always purchased sourdough even when the TASTE is so mild it doesn't taste sourdough. A week ago I bought sourdough and this time, its bad! I do not taste any sourdough -- maybe the baker needs more time to RESTART the sourdough to make it taste like sourdough NOT JUST HOW IT LOOKS!
