Do not buy online, I do not recommend.

I bought this online believing it was brand new but when the package was delivered, I opened it and I realized it was used before it had huge scratches on it, they where not minor. And I also noticed that it had marks from the screws being screwed on from the previous owner. When I buy online I expect it to be brand new and not a return item and that is the reason I do not recommend this item.

Expand des bolts

Was able to put it together pretty Quick. about 4 hours including clean up. The left butterfly every so often seems to have a life of it's own. So I switched it with the other left butter fly (Right one LOL) same problem. It would also be nice if the had a lat bar you could order. Bolts in butter fly handles could be a wee bit larger. It comes apart quick. I moved it from one room to another while watching/ listening to an episodes of 3 stooges. It is pretty durable. Just that left butterfly handle and longer bolts

Awkward and uncomfortable

Pretty easy to assemble but the nuts, bolts and washers were askew in the shrinkwrap. Using the bench can be awkward. The butterfly doesn't work like a true butterfly and I thought we had assembled it wrong. Double checked and we assembled correctly- it just is very clumsy and doesn't work the muscles a true butterfly does. The arm curl causes your wrists to bend more than they should. Wish I had spent the extra money for a nicer machine.

Pads too thin

You have to take things off (preacher Curl) to do a proper, full range motion ,with leg curls and then the padding doesnt go around to the back of the seat , so it hurts to do leg extensions and curls..You can feel the edged where the padding stops and wood starts... The Back rest is waaaay too narrow..

wrong parts

I bought this weight bench for my husband & son. As they were assembling it they realized that they were issued 2 of the same part which made it impossible to put together. My husband called the mfg. They said the part is on backorder. It has been several weeks & we have yet to receive the correct part. Wonder if it'll ever arrive!

Things to look out for

I bought this bench because I wanted something fairly cheap to start out. I know that Marcy makes good equipment and this bench was VERY cheap. I have had it just a short while and so far it is doing the trick. When I opened the box, it had one piece that was wrong (I was supposed to have a left and a right leg and I had two lefts). I called the number and was on the phone about 1 minute and they put a new one in the mail. I asked if I needed to ship the incorrect part back and she said don't worry about it...just throw it away. I was amazed at how quickly they made it right. Pros The bench is well made and sturdy. I lift between 100 and 200 lbs on the bench depending on the set and it holds it fine. I like butterfly and curl attachments. This was a plus for me b/c I could use plates I already own and not buy bells. The bench adjusts from incline to flat and then to a slight decline. You can't really see that in the picture. Cons The main two cons that I have are as follows. 1.The bar brackets are too close together. I use a standard bar and plates. The braces are right where I usually put my hands. I have to choose to put my hands inside or outside the braces. This is frustrating. Also, you have to take the weight off uniformly b/c if you unload the plates on one side the bar will tip. 2. The bench attachments are made very small. I have standard plates and the hole is way bigger than the tubes. I had to rig the clips on the tube and then put the plates on top of the clips to keep the plates on. Overall, I feel this bench is awesome for the money, but if you are a big guy and/or lifting a lot of weight....beware. You will hate having to grip the bar close together and the weight limit is not that high. I would not feel safe putting say 300lbs on this bench.

Good , or Better

It was easy to assemble, instructions & bolt lay-out was good, The bench itself seems heavy duty & Sturdy with the weights on it. The pad for the curls really needs to be wider, it is to narrow for me. the adjustment / hold in bolt for the curl stand should be a quick release pin, would make taking it on & off more convenient. Another option & would recommend is to have a straight set of butterfly handles that could be swapped for the swivel ones. these are changes that I am making for mine Tom V.

Very disappointed

Cannot use incline bench press because unit is way too small and barbell rest is way too low. Fly attachments are an absolute joke plus they also get in the way of bench pressing. Padding is inferior. Definitely a child size piece of "equipment." I wish I could get my money back.

Disappointed

Looks a lot cooler than it actually is. Almost impossible to do a wide grip bench without smashing your fingers. The butterfly function does not allow you to keep your arms extended. Essentially you are going to spend $100 for a preacher curl station

Not Bad...

Got this weight bench about a week and a half ago. Its a pretty decent bench, very sturdy and relatively easy to put together. The one draw back is that the butterfly arm bars are a little awkward. You can't really get full extension on them, which causes your arms to come in at a really awkward angle when you pull them up to do a full rep. Other than that its a solid piece of work out equipment.
