OK if 5'6"/135lbs or less, moderate weights

The weight bench is just able to accommodate my size (I am 5'6" and 135 lbs.). If you are bigger than that, good luck. The construction is solid enough for my purposes; I am not trying to lift heavy weights. The butterfly arms "catch" on the upright legs that support the barbell bar. I used metal washers to modify the butterfly arms to gain adequate clearance of the upright legs. Your barbell bar will need to be one that allows you to place weights at whatever width will clear the upright barbell-support legs. Leg extension area is fine. Ditto curls using the preacher curl. The bench you lay on for lifting is a little narrow, but adequate for the uses I have described above.

Expand des bolts

Was able to put it together pretty Quick. about 4 hours including clean up. The left butterfly every so often seems to have a life of it's own. So I switched it with the other left butter fly (Right one LOL) same problem. It would also be nice if the had a lat bar you could order. Bolts in butter fly handles could be a wee bit larger. It comes apart quick. I moved it from one room to another while watching/ listening to an episodes of 3 stooges. It is pretty durable. Just that left butterfly handle and longer bolts

Adequate

Assembly was quick and easy. My only complaints are the following: 1. The fly extension and leg/curl extensions are not capable of holding Olympic plates. They have a tiny little ring to hold the weight on. I will be buying some large metal washers to see if that will help. 2. The actual posts that hold the bar when you are benching is at an awkward height and width ( at least for me, I'm 6'2") which makes benching very difficult. I use this in my power cage and just use the J hooks from that instead since that is much more comfortable. All in all it is a decent bench for what you pay for. However, you can only hold up to 300 pounds of weight on the benching racks so I wouldn't suggest this for someone who lifts heavy ( although 99% of lifters can't bench 300# anyways so I doubt it will be a common issue).

Great Bang for your buck!

Did my research and did not find any other bench with this many exercises available, for anywhere near the $98 I paid for this bench. Assembly took just about 2 hours with instructions that are pretty straightforward. I agree that the best way to go about it would be to keep the blister packs of small parts intact, and only cut open the blisters you need when you're up to using that part. I have used the bench a couple of times now and it definitely seems durable enough to withstand quite a few years of home use. Yes, the uprights are a bit too close together, but really not that big a deal.

wrong parts

I bought this weight bench for my husband & son. As they were assembling it they realized that they were issued 2 of the same part which made it impossible to put together. My husband called the mfg. They said the part is on backorder. It has been several weeks & we have yet to receive the correct part. Wonder if it'll ever arrive!

Not so good product for me

Sorry if I differ from other opinions, but I feel this bench is not for me. First of all, I don´t fit very well on this, I´m 6 ft tall and when I rest my back on the bench my intimate parts presses the arm curl stand (feels uncomfortable!!). Butterfly exercise doesn´t feels like it should and also the leg extention and leg curl exercises. When resting the weight bar on upright beams (on the bench press exercise) they are enough close, but when tired and using more weight I loose balance and almost smashes my hands. Will return it and get back to the gym :(

Disappointed

Looks a lot cooler than it actually is. Almost impossible to do a wide grip bench without smashing your fingers. The butterfly function does not allow you to keep your arms extended. Essentially you are going to spend $100 for a preacher curl station

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR

I bought this bench based on the price and the positive reviews; however, this weight bench turned out to be a let down. First, the butterfly curl attachment is worthless, it doesn't allow for full range of motion. The uprights are not adjustable which makes it impossible to do incline bench presses. The uprights are also to close together. The preacher curl is adequate; could be better made. Bottom line, if your serious about lifting than spend than spend the extra money.

Not Bad...

Got this weight bench about a week and a half ago. Its a pretty decent bench, very sturdy and relatively easy to put together. The one draw back is that the butterfly arm bars are a little awkward. You can't really get full extension on them, which causes your arms to come in at a really awkward angle when you pull them up to do a full rep. Other than that its a solid piece of work out equipment.

assembly is not difficult

Assembly is not difficult so long as you do two things: 1) Follow the directions step by step without taking short cuts. It took me about 3 hours without rushing. 2)Until you are ready to use each piece, keep the many bolts, washers, and nuts attached to the cardboard where they are identified and where they correlate to the assembly instructions. Otherwise you can have a mess.
