Not recommended

The weight bar stands are to far apart making it hard to lift heavy weight. The bench is shaky and needs to be retightened frequently. The butterfly setup does not make for correct form and is not very effective. I would recommend buying a different bench.

its about 5' 6" long when put together, the pec fly arms are kind of wobbly, but a good grip on them usually does the trick, NOT that easy to assemble,it took me about 4hrs, mainly cuz you have to keep track of what size screw/bolt/nut/washer you have to use, the way all of them come packed looks good at first, but when you open them up, the cardboard tears up and you cant see the size anymore, so i would recommend putting them in cups or something and labeling what each is, cuz it could save you a lot of time, it IS easy getting them to tighten up tho, they supply you with a thing to tighten them up with, but youll also need an adjustable wrench to hold down the nut, while you tighten the screw, it would also be easier to asseble it on concrete or somewhere flat, cuz if you do it on carpet, it wont stand up still untill you get all three legs connected and tightened, then if you want it some other place, drag it or have someone help you pick it up and move it, the preacher pad isnt really that tall if youre a tall person, but if you dont want to tighten it, its about 2 times taller, but wobbly, other than those complaints, its pretty good for just $98 plus shipping and taxes

Do not buy online, I do not recommend.

I bought this online believing it was brand new but when the package was delivered, I opened it and I realized it was used before it had huge scratches on it, they where not minor. And I also noticed that it had marks from the screws being screwed on from the previous owner. When I buy online I expect it to be brand new and not a return item and that is the reason I do not recommend this item.

Pads too thin

You have to take things off (preacher Curl) to do a proper, full range motion ,with leg curls and then the padding doesnt go around to the back of the seat , so it hurts to do leg extensions and curls..You can feel the edged where the padding stops and wood starts... The Back rest is waaaay too narrow..

Good for beginners

I have been using this for about a month and have mixed feelings on it. First I'd like to point out that it's not as hard to put together as people on here made it out to be. If you either A) use permanent marker and write #'s on cardboard to go with the pieces from the blister pack or B) use foam cups with #'s on it the same way, along with following the included instructions it can be put together in 1 hour maybe 1 1/2 hour tops. That being said, the butterfly attachments are relatively useless. I thought they'd provide something positive but they just get in the way and have very limited range of motion. It's better to use 2 free weight dumbbells on the bench than with the attachment. Also, the uprights are in very close and fit a 5ft bar on but barely. Your grip as a result is forced to be in too close if you have wide shoulders. It also makes placing the bar back on the rack harder without pinching your hand in the process. The bench itself is good and has 4 positions: slight decline, flat, slight incline and major incline. This helps hit different muscle zones. The leg lifts work fine and the preacher's curl does, too. The preacher's curl is a bit close for comfort when laying all out but so far I haven't made contact while benching. I could take it out if I wanted but unscrewing it to bench then putting it back to use after would be a pain. Ultimately it is a decent set up for the price. If you are just starting out it's good for beginners. If you are looking to do heavy lifting get a better quality set. This one is rated up to 100lbs on the bar, though I've used it for 130lbs a few times.

Marcy Diamond Elite Weight Bench

I like this weight bench. It is heavy duty and does the trick of getting into shape with free weights. Probably the one thing; the seat is not flush with the back. It would have been better if it the seat was not angled upward on how it sits on the frame. That is something I would change. Other than that, a great bench!

Gerat bench came a week late

For the price it's a great bench. It's very easy to assemble. It did come a week later then when promised so tracking it was useless. I do a lot of reps especially with the butterfly and curles. I really like this bench and I've lost 13 pounds in two weeks of using it everyday for 15 days straight now. It takes about 90 minutes a day to do my entire routine.

Great for the price

I purchased this from Walmart because it was cheaper than Amazon. Assembly was simple, the only thing I disliked was that the nuts and bolts and screws were taped to a piece of cardboard and their identification number came off when you peeled the tape to separate them from the cardboard. Overall I love it! However, one of the butterfly bars was really tight to get it, and therefore when using it it proves to be a little difficult because one is loose (the way it should be) and the other is tight and difficult to lift at times.

Not bad for your money and stable enough.

I have only had this product a few days, but I like it. The only thing that ticked me off a bit was that some of the measurements were off and I had to fight to get the screws in. They should do a better job at that, because this can be time consuming. It took about two hours to put together and it was simple, just don't get the screws and bolts mixed up. It also has a weight limit of 300lbs and a body weight limit of 300lbs. So, make sure this fits your needs. How it will hold up in the long run, don't know, but I'm going to ride it until the wheels come off. LOL
