Yo Mamma's tomato sauces are excellent, especially for low-carb eating. I especially like the basil. My husband is a red sauce pasta nut, with emphasis on the red sauce. The basil is so good he actually pours it into a cup and eats it like that. I don't go quite that far, but it is really good. I have used it to make eggplant parmesan, meatballs parmesan--just about everything that calls for tomato sauce. I don't even bother to make home made sauce any more.

The low sodium and sugar content make for a very smart sauce. It's so delicious that since I discovered it last year, it's been the only sauce I use. I';m a vegetarian on KETO who uses Gardein products as well as the Beyond Meat line. All my meat substitutes work well with Yo Mama sauce. The texture is like homemade, truly. I only wish it was a little cheaper. I'll still buy it because nothing else comes even close to this sauce.

TLDR: Fantastic sauce ... light, vibrant, and robust. Will be ordering many times again.Ive attempted my own pasta sauce many times over the years, but Yo Mamas has really seemed to perfect it with their tomato basil. The sauce is bright and flavorful, and balances out the acidity of the tomatoes very well. Im surprised to be leaving a sauce review, of all things, but this sauce is really worth 5 stars.

My husband and I have both been directed to a low sodium diet by our doctors. Imagine out amazement when we discovered that typical marina has from 350 to 800 mg of sodium per half cup. We checked at least five different grocery stores in the area. This marinara lists only 125 mg of sodium per half cup of sauce. Best of all, the flavor is good . We can actually taste tomato and basil in addition to the garlic and onion. Another plus for us is that there are chunks of tomato in the sauce rather than just a finely-ground puree.

It made my good pasta into great pasta that even my picky family members are asking for seconds. I love that it only have ingredients that I recognize as food. No preservatives or ingredients that I need to look it up to know what it is. Too many food has sugar added these days and I'm happy to find a delicious pasta sauce without any of it. Yo Mama's would be my go to pasta sauce from now on!

The flavor and consistency are not what I would have expected or went for if we weren't looking for something low carb, but as it is, its pretty good. The ingredients are top notch and there is nothing questionable added. The sauce is a little bit thinner than I would prefer and fairly light. It would make a good cold pasta salad with the addition of fresh veggies. It does need some doctoring. There is a bitterness that could use a non-sugar sweetener like stevia or monk fruit. Overall, not bad, totally edible, and quality ingredients.

I appreciate that it is gluten free (for my sister who has Celiacs), and I liked that it is also preservative free. Overall, I can’t complain about it. The basil taste was quite light in it, and I love basil so I wouldn’t have minded a hint more, but that’s something easy to fix by adding more of my own.

Husband needs low salt, and loves tomato-sauce based dishes, so this is great (and you can add as much garlic as you like). But wait, there's more: these people know how to ship 6 large glass jars full of tomato-sauce w/o a break or leak - terrific packaging. They know their business.

If you read the ingredients labels on their stuff, it's super transparent, all real ingredients I could buy in a store. As a young working professional with very little time on my hands, I love that their tomatos and sauces help me keep fresh, healthy foods in my diet. Plus, their packaging's so clean and looks pretty on my pantry shelves.
