I purchase this item on line. this is not the item that i wanted. i wanted a 980208819 shed, but you said that this was not a good number, so i ordered 980274279S thinking it was the same size. It was not and I did notice it until it was delivered. The shipping cost $50.00 and I was not going to send it back. The shed i wanted was larger and i got the number from the unit in the Dover's Sam Club. The instructions were hard to follow and it took 2 people and 2 days to put it up. Please have someone call me.

I purchased two of these for my rentals. You will need two people to carry and to help assemble. The directions are not great but if you're mechanically inclined you should be able to figure things out. The second one was easier because we knew what to expect. The first one took about 6 hours (with breaks in between). I say the second maybe 4 hours. If one person was doing alone expect to spend half a day! But once you've assembled you will feel a sense of accomplishment.

I bought this about 1.5 years ago. Be careful as the lid AND doors will warp and not close properly without force. The plastic Door Pin (E00) broke so the left door won’t stay put without the lid shut. Very disappointing and I will be selling this more than likely. ☹️

I just assembled this shed. It seems sturdy. A few tips: 1: Don't assemble in the sun. The panels begin to warp. (I'm concerned if this will happen with prolonged exposure after assembly, as I want it to keep critters from making a nest in winter). 2: It says 3 people needed. (Overkill, but 2 would be good). I did it myself. it took me 6 hours. 3: Instructions could be clearer. The "call out" diagrams are not really clear enough to see the details of placement. The video was somewhat helpful but on a phone, it is hard to see detail also. It is worth watching the 20 minute video before you start installation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The horizontal shed was easy to put together if you follow the directions and double check your work before going to the next step. The directions are thorough and easy to understand. I would suggest a little more detail on the configuration of the rear lid hinge and clearer location of the door hinges on the shed. Our shed will provide us a secure place to store our Lifetime tables and chairs and some outdoor tools.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been looking for easy storage for the kids outside toys, lawn furniture etc. The Horizontal Storage Shed seems to be perfect for our needs. Now that it is put together I can foresee many uses for it now and in the future. It is very roomy inside, and things are very easy to access. Lifetime takes pride in their products and they are delivered very well packaged. Due to rain it was not put together for over a week after delivery. We ended up putting it together in the garage, and moving it to where we wanted it We plan on putting the shed on a foundation of some sort when the weather iproves. The assembly of the shed went well, the parts are laeled and the instructions are clear. The shed is very sturdy and looks nice. We look forward to all the diferent uses for it. It has a spring hinge lid that is easy to open and shut. The shed has an external locking mechanism that can be used with a padlock should the purchaser choose. We have put a few things in the shed and with our frequent downpours everything has remained dry. Larger items can be stored easily in it too. depending on your needs the shed can be used for many different storage options. We own many Lifetime products and have always been very happy with all of them.

This storage bin is perfect for our needs. That being said assembly is a chore. I have a background in hardware, and maintenance. The first problem with our product the bottom of the carton where the sidewall meets was damaged. Apparently, a forklift operator skewered the carton and after my wife and I had unloaded the carton to inventory the parts, and found the three bags containing a total of 156 assorted screws and nuts and bolts plus other assorted parts were missing. This is pretty much beyond anyone's control. A phone call to the Lifetime customer service number was pleasant enough and the person that helped me was kind enough to ship them out to me on expedited express and the bags arrived 6 days later which was far better than the original time of 2-3 weeks.Of these 156 screws, nuts, and bolts of which there are a large number are packed in their own bag. Others are packed in mixed bags. None of the bags have part numbers that correspond to the ones listed in the assembly diagrams and the pictograms are not to exact size so it is a guess game as to which screw goes where. All of this has noting to do with the quality of the storage bin and as far as I can tell this Item should serve us well.

My horizontal storage shed came up short on some screws. Thier instructions say don't return the box but contact them, which I eMailed my concern. and 5 days later I got my screws to complete the project. In between there were eMails on the status of my problem and shipping. Thanks!

After shopping around for some type of outdoor storage solution, we decided on this model from Costco. For the amount of space inside, it was the best value. We have a carport and put it against one of the walls and it doesn't look unsightly at all. As a matter of fact, because it's not a tall shed, the lower profile doesn't make it so obvious. It looks perfectly nice anyway though. The manufacturer's directions were pretty good for the most part. A little confusing at a couple of points, but luckily, I figured it out. It took me about 6 hours to assemble by myself. There were only a couple of times when I had my husband help briefly. As long as you have someone you can call over once in a while, it's doable alone. Here's a pro tip on how to add your own small shelf to maximize the space inside: There's a metal bar that goes all around the inside top part of the shed. I went to Home Depot, picked out a 1"x12" pine board from their discard pile, and had them cut it so that it would lay across the entire back inside of the shed. There's about 6-8" of space from the pine board shelf to the lid of the shed. I use this to store small items like gardening gloves, hand shovels, etc. Also, the manufacturer is great to work with! I broke the hydraulic arm while installing it and had to order a replacement. I called their customer service number in their manual, and they immediately shipped it free of charge. I've installed it and the shed works perfectly! I'm so pleased with this product, that I may actually get a second one. It's so low profile, yet so spacious.

We already have a lifetime shed to house yard equipment and other tools but I didn’t want to use this shed for our children’s bikes/toys. When we came across this horizontal storage shed I knew it would be perfect for the bikes. Especially since our kids would be able to access it themselves as needed. The assembly was simple as long as you stuck with the instructions. Kind of like an Adult LEGO setup. Majority of it can be done with 1 person but if you can have at least 2 I’d recommend it. We liked this product so much we had to get another one for my husband’s smoker. He cooks with this a lot and it has worked great keeping it out on our deck without it being effected by the elements.
