Great value and a great bout

My wife and I took our new Kokanee kayak out last week for the 1st time since we bought it. I was impressed as to how stable it was. Later, my 18 year old son and his friend took it out and is was so stable, they could stand on it and dive off of it. No trouble getting back on it either.

Good times!

Bought this and a Pacer for my boys' birthdays. Tried them out for the first time today. Good times! The Kokanee is quite stable. It's a little heavy and bulky on land, but handled easily enough by two people. Handles well in the water. I purchased padded seat bottoms, as I was told a long trip would be uncomfortable without them. Only complaint I can possible come up with is it was missing a couple small parts.

Decent Kayak for the Cost

I bought this kayak for double duty as a tandem for the family and a solo for myself. It is a little small for a true tandem, but when the front seat is removed and the rear seat is moved to the center position, it works well as a solo. The nice thing about this short tandem boat is that it's easy to haul in the bed of a truck, no rack required. The only space for flush-mount pole holders is on the rear, which kind of interferes with the cargo net back there. I also need to install some carry handles on the sides for solo trips- it's heavy for a solo kayak. I had the kayak shipped to my house. It came with two small holes on either side of the rear. I was able to plastic weld the HDPE back together with scraps from my pole-holder installation. Overall, I am satisfied with this kayak for what it is.

Excellent and Affordable Kayak.

An excellent open kayak that comfortably fits two grown adults. Great construction and like its name, will last a Lifetime. My son is 6' 4" and I'm 5' 11" and there is plenty of room for the both of us. The kayak is a little heavy for one person to easily load up on the car, but can be done. Once in the water the kayak is very stable and easy to maneuver. The storage compartment runs the entire length of the kayak giving plenty of storage room. The adjustable seat backs are comfortable and are easy to remove and relocate to go from a tandem to a single person kayak. Plenty of scupper holes throughout the kayak. I highly recommend this product. I received this as a gift and when I got it one of the storage covers were missing. Called the Lifetime costumer service and they sent one free of charge.

Good quality, but heavy

Really like this kayak. Well built and tons of fun in the water. I like the flexible seating configuration. We can easily get three people on this thing, no problem. I took my boys fishing and had me and two boys on it fishing together and it was great. Plenty of room. Stable on the water. It is super heavy though, so it is a beast to lug around. Most kayaks and can I put on the roof of our suburban by myself, but this one I need help. So just be aware. It says it only weighs 77 lbs, but this thing is at least 100 lbs, no joke. Makes it really sturdy on the water. Also, I don’t like that there are drain holes in the boat. It causes water to seep in and gets my butt wet. Not a huge deal, but I like to stay dry ya know? Otherwise it’s a great boat. Good investment since these last forever and hold their value. Used ones sell for the same price as new.

Great Family and Fishing Kayak

I have owned this kayak for approximately a year now. It has room for two adults and 1 child. I used this last summer with my wife and 10 year old daughter in our local lake. The kayak is very stable and moves at a steady pace even though it has some weight to it. The maneuvering capability is sufficient; you may have to make a few more side to side motions to keep on track while paddling. I also customized this kayak for fishing, and it works out great for stashing gear and holding your poles. Please note that this kayak is heavy, and takes a lot to get used to if you are going to use this by yourself. The size is nice and doesn't look that long, until you try to stand it upright to put on top of your car. I could never get enough holding power, so I installed 3 additional handles so I would be able to pick it up to place on top of the car. I also had to buy an attachment for my bike rack. It's a bar that sticks out and act as a 2nd person once you place the kayak in the corner. Even though there are minor drawbacks to this kayak, I am still giving it 5 stars because the kayak has done everything I've asked of it. The price was also nice, it holds 3 people, and this is a solid body kayak. For family trips and fishing this is a sure thing.

fun kayak

First Kayak I have owned. This kayak needs a better handle in the back to make it easier to carry. The seat backs are just made of plastic and will sometimes pop out of the clips that hold them in place. Other than the handles and seats this is a very fun kayak and I plan to own it for years to come.

VERY STURDY AN!!!D STABLE!!!!

We bought a single kayak this summer and tried it out not sure what we had got into..... It was so much fun and had a blast we were fighting over who got to go out next. My husband and I decided when we got home to get a second one and went with a double so we could go out together. We had even more fun. If you are looking for some fun and on the water or just want to enjoy some peaceful alone time on the water then I would not hesitate at all!

Great kayak for the price...

My wife and I bought this for occasional use on our yearly trip to the mountains. We wanted a tandem kayak and looked online for a used kayak. We are not professional kayakers so we weren't looking for an ultra performance kayak. A lot of the used kayaks online were in horrible condition. The new ones (brand names) were well over $1000. So we found this kayak out our local sporting goods store. We've had this for 3 years now and everything works as brand new. The kayak is 10ft long so it's one of the shorter tandem kayaks, which is a perk for us. We bought seat pads and the stock seat backs work well. As mentioned this isn't the most performance kayak out there, buts it's doesn't cost as a performance one does. For occasional trips to the lakes for fun relaxing floating around the water that doesn't brake the bank...This is the perfect kayak.

All around great purchase

I bought the Kayak a few months back as something my wife and I could use when our kids went off to college. We've been out a few times in the Oceanside Harbor, and have had a blast. I built a trailer to haul it from the truck to the water. The kayak is a bit heavy, but work great when in the water. I wish the rear handle was easier to grip, and the seat backs were more secure, but all in all it's well worth the money.
