Quicken is really feature rich and deep. If you are new to Quicken, keep it simple at first. Great for tracking your accounts and where your money goes. You will get insights about your spending you never understood before. This will drive behavior changes. As insights grow, you can start playing with investment accounts or budgets etc. There are other great options like YNAB too. Quicken is great for historical data and YNAB is great for controlling the future. Just depends a bit on what you are trying to achieve.

Software has a subscription - way overpriced for the same software because it expires. And then they have annoying reminder so you cant use it anymore

I have been using Quicken and Sam's Club since the early 2000s. Quicken Premier has had incremental process improvement over the years and I use it to cross reference paper statements and downloaded financial transactions to understand ALL actions in my financial accounts and verify accuracy. I bought from Sam's Club because a renewal of my annual subscription was much less than paying for the "convenience" of automatic renewal on the Quicken Account web site. However, using the Sam's Club information did not result in a smooth renewal to get my laptop software to function as expected!
