I love these eye rounds - they are the perfect size, freeze well and still taste great

These eye of round steaks used to be fairly tender but really need a long, long slow braising these days to overcome the extremely tough meat.

Great grilling steaks

I buy these packages of steaks every time I go to Sam’s or place a curbside order. I divide them up and put them in the freezer. I get several meals out of the package. I cook them on the grill, in the oven or in the crockpot.

There are better cuts of steak out there of course, but if you’re eating steak for nutrition, this is a good budget steak that doesn’t break the bank, and it actually taste pretty good. A little chewy but I still like it.

When you can't or don't have the time to spend time in the kitchen this stakes come in handy, you can make a few side dishes or have them already made in your fridge, some healthy salad, make some type of flavorful rice or mash or bake potato and your meal is done. Dinner is serve in less than 30 minutes.
