If you are ever in a pinch for a salad for a family and don’t want to spend a fortune, this is the way to go. This will easily serve a generous portion to 5-6 people. And with the price less than $2, you can’t go wrong. While it is pre-washed, I would recommend a quick rinse and spin to take out any chemically smell it may have. My wife insists that it has one.

The lettuce itself is good. Cut the right size for multiple dishes. But...It's to big a bag for a 2 person household, I tried to use it up fast but can only want so much salad. I even used as garnish. I would say 1/3 of the bag went unused before it turned.

It used to be where the bag would be vacuum packed really good and it would last longer but lately it’s been really loose and the lettuce change colors so quick. I wish they would go back to vacuuming packet really good just lasted so much longer in the store right now if you buy it in the store, it already looks like it’s getting ready to turn

I’ve been buying the caesar salad package for the longest time but for a while now, they have been turning orangey brown either in store or once they get home. Switched to Taylor’s garden salad and it’s lasted a lot longer in the fridge and tastes great with the red cabbage and carrots. Great mix.

This is a good product but quality suffers because Sam's changed the location of where the product is stocked. The product seemed to be in a colder environment previously which helped to delay the product's spoilage. Currently, the product only lasts a few days even if the expiration date on the package is a week away.

This salad is both good and priced right. I just wish we had a way of keeping it fresher longer. We can only eat so much salad at a time, but at the price of $2.38/bag, if half a bag gets discarded, it isn't a disaster. The stock in a Sam's cold room moves quickly, but there is no way to know how long a bag has been in transit or under what conditions. A savy shopper will look at each bag to see if the enzymatic browning, particularly on the iceberg lettuce, has become visible (it started as soon as the lettuce was harvested, hence the brown stem end, etc.) and at what stage it is in before selecting a particular bag. About 98% of bags are OK and are good to go as a rule.

I absolutely love this salad mix. This 2 lb. bag of salad at Sam's is cheaper than a 12oz bag at other stores. Just add tomato & anything else you wish & top with your favorite dressing for a delicious side salad or add chicken, ham, or meat of your choice for a main dish.

I'm not really a fan of iceberg lettuce but I buy this salad often. I love that it comes vacuum sealed to lock in freshness. It has a great blend of red cabbage and carrots. Most bag salad over power you with the cabbage and carrots. The salad is ready to eat right out of the bag and the price is amazing.
