The kayak was a kid's kayak, so I had little experience with it personally. We had a problem with a plug and a seat and the people at Lifetime were terrific. Very personable and professional and the issues were resolved quickly. Five Stars for Excellent Service!

These kayaks are fabulous! The best spent money this summer for the grandkids. They are sturdy and easy for the kids to maneuver. There is a little plug on the top that we weren't aware of and one opened which filled the boat with water. It made the boat difficult to handle of course but once we figured it out and emptied the water we were set to go again. My grandson pulled the plug, it didn't open on its own.

We purchased one three or four years ago for our first grandson to use at our home on a lake. 7 grandkids later it works as good as new, with no maintenance to speak of. The only thing that we have had to do to it is replace the drain stopper after the kids took it out to see if they could sink the kayak. the kayak still floated enough to get it to shore, but they managed to lose the plug. The oldest whittled a stick to fit in its place. That was two seasons ago and it still works fine.

We bought an adult size kayak as well and go out almost every weekend to the lake in the summer. I even enjoy using it myself and I am right at the weight limit. It's also very easy to transport because of the size & can withstand tons of abuse. Get one, your kid will love it.

Cute little "pepto" pink sit on top kayak.  My daughter is 9 & this is perfect for her.  It says up to 120 lbs.  Definitely made for a child.  The pink is super cute & the material is indestructible! I bought the orange version of this kayak for my grandchildren about four years ago. We have since abused it without mercy and it's help up like a champ. Recently we lost the bow drain plug. It definitely needs it! I thought I would never find a replacement and didn't see one in the Lifetime home page but I thought I'd drop an email to them to see if they could help. The response was excellent. I received an email notifying me that a replacement would be sent and the little plug arrived three days later. I am presently considering a stand up paddle board and this experience is a real plus in a close call. It's great to get that kind of customer support.

I do like it, it was just what I wanted.. something I could carry, me being small, to the car and to the water all by myself. It is comfortable, my back hasn't been strained, and with the keel on bottom, it doesn't slide from side to side when paddled like some other small paddle boats. The paddle is even a high quality ! I had been looking for a kayak this size , not a sit upon, but couldn't find one. I just dont' understand why they manufacted this with two holes in the bottom, thus , once once's weight is in the boat, you are always sitting in a cold puddle of water. I also don't understand why they market this as a kayak when it's really a 'sit upon'..I have used it 30 min. a day every day and it is relaxing and wonderful.. but I'm now going to have to buy a wetsuit or somehow put fiberglass over those holes when summer is over, as I wanted to use it year round...

We purchased this for our 5 year old. He was able to quickly get on it and was paddling around a small pond within minutes. His younger brother sat on the front for a few rides. We are completely thrilled with this purchase and will certainly buy a second.

We just recently moved from NY to FL. My husband and I are avid Kayakers. Our daughter often goes with us and paddle boards as well. She is 6 - with the move to a warmer climate it offers the opportunity to be in that water more often. My daughter actually saw a similar product but they could not get it to us by Christmas. The Kayak came ( with no extra shipping costs) earlier than stated. The design and quality was far surpassed what I expected she will actually be able to truly kayak in this. When we were action last year in the Blue Ridge Mountains we rented kayaks and My daughter wanted to paddle board. They had a hybrid of a sit on top kayak that was able to be used for SUP. This is exactly what it was. I have searched for that item and was unable to find it. This is it. My husband and I have what would be high end kayaks, the design and materials that this unit is made of is identical. It is a one piece body and hull which is key to a good kayak. The paddle include - I assumed we would have to purchase a better one - I WAS WRONG the paddle is well made and the diameter of the Paddle is smaller to fit into a smaller hand. The price is far below what the value of this product is. The sit on top design has goober notch placement for her feet. There is a the ability to add a comfortable seat, and the open back design is ideal of children to get in ad out of. The First this she did when she discovered it under the tree Christmas morning was point out that she kayak SUP and she was right there is the perfect area that provides balance for her feet. We have a large neighborhood lake that the houses are built around eager to get in she got her life jacket and took to it. starting seated then went onto her knees and well - lets just say she does not want a seat. This is the exact same product we rented on vacation just in her size. AND PINK OF COURSE. Lastly being that we are in an area where there are endless places to kayak and kids can tucker out there is a told toggle at the front that will be ideal for towing her through waters she might not be able to animate or when she just wants to chill. Today might be our first day out. I would highly recommend this product Im certain I will be buying another ( my 4 year old son will be ready to go soon and well he can't do pink I Truly did not anticipate this level of quality at this price point. I would also recommend marketing the product as a hybrid of a SUP and sit on top Kayak because hat is what it is. I don't know if your company makes seats for the kayaks as well but I found seats that are the same maker as our high end kayaks that would seamlessly fit into here providing the ability to enjoy a day out on the water. OH DID I MENTION THE GUARANTEE ? A lifetime guarantee. I know sound too good to be true. I imagine that if this product got in the hands of product placement and was read about and discovered by more outdoors people like us the would be SO HOT. Get it now before it takes off and the price doubles. You would pay that much to rent a kayak for the day In most places. Best purchase of the Holiday and it will be of great use. If You are looking to introduce your child into kayaking this is the way to go. It is really pretty too.
