The youth kayak is fine for hot days and if its ok for your child to get wet. This is not designed for use if you dont want your child to get wet.

Awesome! My 7 and 8 year old children mastered it in 5 minutes. A great way to stay active and cool on a hot summer day. Holds 130lbs.

Great little kayak for a beginner. After a while my son complained about a tired back. A seat might have to be attached to it for more comfort.
