My daughter is 5, and she LOVES it. We got the yellow one and she calls it the banana :) It’s really easy to use in the water. The only reason I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because it’s very awkward to lug around. There is just one handle. So unless you heave it above your head and balance it in some way, you have to drag it. Which isn’t ideal because A that’s noisy and B you scratch it up and wear down the plastic. You’d think for it being a smaller kid size they’d know parents will just toss it in their car and take it places often. Which you CAN, it’s just a pain to carry, not because it’s heavy or too big but because there’s no place to grab it and hold on to it. So in essence, it’s just as difficult as grownup kayaks to transport lol anyways we still love it, I just make my husband hull it around.

This is a great kayak at a value price! They are high quality and I anticipate, because of this, they will last for many years to come. If you have a child who loves the water, this is a “must get” item! It comes with oars, too, so no need to run out to search and buy those. The best thing about these kayaks is how sturdy yet lightweight they are, so they’re easy to lift. As I said before, this is a high value item!

We ordered several items including a Wave 6 kayak on June 7 as a birthday gift. Most were delivered within a week. The Sam's website continued to show no shipping date for the kayak. As there was no activity on the item, we talked with numerous customer service reps, including two Account Supervisors. Both Supervisors stated that they would contact the vendor, determine what was going on and call us back. No one ever called us back. On June 15, after being disconnected on a chat and holding for 40 minutes we were told by a representative that we could call the vendor and find out what was happening. This is after we had previously requested vendor information and were told that it was against Sam's policy to release the information. On June 16 we called Lifetime and spoke to their Customer Service. Lifetime found our order. We were told that Sams Club had requested that the order not be shipped until June 18. The Lifetime rep stated that she did not know why Sams Club would do that and arranged for the kayak to be shipped immediately. A 10-minute call by us solved a problem that many long calls to Sams Club's AI, several service reps and two Account Supervisors could not.
