This kayak is very functional for use on flat water. My grandchildren all got right on it and were able to paddle around the lake with no problems. It is stable and floats high in the water. It is small enough to throw into the back of the truck and light enough that it is easy to carry. A great starter kayak for children.

Our 9 year old son saved up his money, bought this kayak and loves it. He has been to Elkhorn creek the las to weekends and has had a blast. It is very easy for him to manuever and handle. His 11 year sister liked his so much she bought one too. I would highly recommend this kayak for kids to start out with.

This kayak is worth every penny. I bought this before my Husband went for deployment in Afghanistan I thought this would be a great activity for my kids and also to take away their minds from missing their daddy. A great distraction because my kids got something to look forward during weekends and when their off track from school. My kids are so happy so am I. I'm surprised how much weight this little kayak can hold because when my husband came back he get to use it too lol. His not skinny his over 170 pounds although we plan to buy him his own one day when I save up enough money. We love this kayak and I highly recommend this for the family. The kids easily figure how to use it by themselves. This is something my family love to do during summer the we truly enjoy.

We bought our boys each a wave a couple years ago because they decided that they wanted to spend their summers in the water instead of on the field. We LOVE them!!! They have held up so well with over 100 uses and almost 20 kids using them. They still look brand new!! Way to build such high quality products.

I had looked for years for any kayak, canoe, or sit upon that was light enough for me to carry and manage by myself. This is it ! It even fits sideways in the back seat of a midsize car. I use it all the time to go out paddling for exercise for an hour or so, on the days I don't walk or jog. Good movement for the tummy and arms. My only complaint is that it is designed with a 'scupper drain hole' (designed for safely I am sure so boat won't sink if kids take it out deep in a lake or the ocean ) which means you are sitting in 1/2" or more of water at all times, even if you splash no water in your boat. Thus I had to order waterproof paddling pants in order to do fall, winter, or spring paddling. Waterproof paddling pants cost as much as the boat ! Seriously. Waterproof rain suspenders can run up to $900! I am considering ordering the backrest too, but if I am out only an hour it's not too bad. Some of my friends have now bought, or plan to, buy one. I am 130 pounds. Also, the paddle is just great, I hope they don't substitute a cheaper one in the future.

I bought two last year, and my girls had so much fun, unfortunatelly they are so easy to carry that they were stolen from my 34 footer in Oxnard, CA, now i'm just waiting for the prices to go down to last year prices to get them again, but this time i'll lock them up.

This is the fifth Wave that I have gotten for my Grandkids,they hold up great and third season for two of them!I recommend them highly and the rice is excellent.None of them weigh more 70 lbs but the kayak is rated at 140lbs!Point being they could easily handle more !

Great kayak for kids of all ages. Stable, lightweight, durable and easy to clean. Our 4 year old is already learning how to paddle himself around and our 2 year old can actually pull the kayak in and out of the water with the handle. Haven't used the foam back support since it got in the way of kids crawling up into the kayak from behind (it does look somewhat flimsy.) Was very happy to find that the youth lifetime paddle is included in the package since it was not in the description. Although we joke that they look like big floating bananas, the bright color makes it easy to spot kids out on the water.

My kids received these for their birthday!! They love them!! We did have an issue where one of paddles broke the first day using it. I called customer service and they were quick to help us with replacing it under the warranty! This is a great product for the beginners as they caught on easily with how to use them! Now I’m being asked everyday to go out! If your looking for something fun and relaxing to do on the water I’d highly suggest getting one!!
