Such a fantastic kayak for kids. We own four of them. We call them our “water skeeters” because the kids sit high in the water and can really move quickly. The paddle is smaller than a standard paddle too, so it is easier for a child to handle. These boats are worth every dime. Your kids will love paddling because of this boat.

We bought 2 of these for our boys, ages 6 & 7. They are lightweight. The boys can get their own kayaks in and out of the water. They are easy to maneuver. The only negative thing was that both kayaks were delivered with deep scratches from Walmart shipping department and one was missing a plug. I called Lifetime and they are sending 2 plugs through the mail. The kayaks are under warranty for 5 years, so we opted not to send them back. The boys wanted to use them as soon as they got here and I didn't want to wait another week+ for others to be shipped.

My daughter who is also a petite adult and I (we are also both under the 130 pounds) purchased these so we would have something we could toss into the truck ourselves and go- these are great! Light, stable, sturdy and easy to maneuver in our small lakes and ponds. We get compliments on these kayaks every time we're out. A good buy, would recommend!

The fedex deliverer boasted this was his first boat delivery. I was very happy with this kayak . Gave it to my granddaughter for her eight birthday.she will use it lots at the cottage. She loves kayaking but needed a smaller one. The lifetime has many features the pelican and dolphin for kids do not have. Flat bottom allows standing, swimming and climbing back on. Overall quality much better.she will have years of enjoyment at the lake.

I bought this for my 8 year grandson last year. One year later and it's the same...He LOVES it!!! It was easy for him to use and I and his parents felt it was safe. Now his younger siblings are using it so I bought another one. Great value for the price.

A friend recommended this to me, and at the price, it seemed too good to be true. The first time my 9-year old put it into the ocean, she easily climbed off and kayaked away, looking like she'd been born to it. It's steady, fun, light enough for her to carry down to the beach by herself, and sturdy. We'll probably buy another for my 5-year-old next year.

We bought this for our 10 year old son. He was getting too big to sit in the one seater kayak with my husband so we decided he was old enough for his own. He loves it. It sits on my vans' rack in between the two kayak holders we already have for our 2 10ft kayaks. It is so easy to use the oars and turn. If we're out for a while then I will tie him to me in case he gets tired. My 5 year old tried it and he could use it pretty easily as well!! The one thing I would recommend getting is a carry strap. My son carries it himself with a carry strap much easier than just by itself.

Very popular with my grandchildren. The kayaks are light enough for t hem to carry down to the dock and the paddles float. Since they are open at the top, the kayaks are easy for them to get on. So far, ages 8-15, but my 7 year old will be coming to visit and she will use it as well. I bought three and they are a great deal for the price.

My 9 yr old used this kayak at camp and begged me to buy one. We purchased this online at Wal-Mart. It came quickly. It had a few scratches from shipping (it is wrapped only in plastic and does not come in a box). But I would expect it to get scratched quickly from use anyways. My son and his friends immediately put the kayak in the water and used it. They had a great time. Very lightweight and easy for them to use without adult assistance. I would highly recommend.
