Members Mark Prime Rib

I picked this up to have for Christmas Dinner so I can't say right now how it is just yet. Thus the 4 stars instead of 5. It seems to be very popular as I supposedly got the last one.

Very pleased

This prime rib is awesome! We will probably have it for Christmas dinner. Every year we look for it starting in November because we don’t want to miss getting at least one.

Excellent prime rib!

This prime rib was so delicious that we're going to buy it every year! The seasoning was perfect and the heating instructions were spot on! So tender and juicy!

Very tasty

We picked up last minute to have for family day before Thanksgiving but was surprisingly wowed as it was very tender and tasty. Not hard to prepare at all. Would do it again.

Fully cooked heat and eat prime rib.

Bought for special family dinner, meat was excellent and so was price. Easy to heat up to the medium Done, Will definitely buy again. Not sure if it will be as good if frozen.

Prime Rib Mishap

I had to order it on one day and not be able to pick it up until the next day. I was charged one price but when I went to pick up the 2 prime ribs, they didn't total up to that amount though my account was charged differently. It took a couple days for the correction to be made on your end but the stress was something I didn't need at the time. I have to travel 65 miles each way to get to the Sam's Club and then to find I'm not getting what I paid for wasn't what I drove for. But again, you finally corrected the amount on my account so I'm happy about that. Would have liked the 2 prime ribs would have been closer in size than they were. One was very small compared to the other one.

Disgusting seasoning

Years ago, I used to buy the fully cook prime rib and it was delicious. I believed the brand was Baron. I purchased two of these thinking they would be similar, even though they were the Members Mark brand. BIG mistake. The pepper seasoning was so strong it ruined the beef flavor. We couldn't eat them and threw away over $150 of meat. I was disappointed, embarrassed and disgusted.

Excellent Taste & Easy to Make

I purchased this along with a ham and a turkey breast for Thanksgiving. This prime rib was such a hit with my family. It was already cooked, so all I had to do was warm it up. I purchased an electric meat thermometer (like you see on some grills) which allowed me to monitor the temperature without opening the oven. Easy to make and delicious to eat. I would definitely purchase this again.

Do you "LIKE" Prime Rib?

If you "LIKE/LOVE" Prime Rib, stay away from this product. Buy your own Rib Roast (from Sam's), the raw PRIME grade rib roast is fabulous properly cooked. Their pre-cooked version has an added flavor that does beef a serious injustice. Just cook it yourself, you'll be happier with the results.

So easy!

We wanted something special this Thanksgiving, so opted to try this prime rib, along with our turkey and ham. It was pretty much self cooking, no work other than sticking a temp probe in it and setting the oven to 275 degrees. We did ours to 135 degrees ( although I did use a second temp probe once the roast hit 120,and that one registered 131) and removed it and let it rest the required 15 min. Once it rested we sliced it in approx 1/2" slices, and it was wonderful. None of us felt it was overly seasoned, some reviewers complained of the added smoke flavor, but I really only noticed it a little once I reheated a piece. Also some people complained of fat content, but I looked over all the prime rib packages, and clearly some were fattier, so I choose what I felt was the best balance. It is known for the fat content. It enhances the flavor and tenderness. We made both an au jus and a creamy horseradish sauce to accompany. Overall, it was a great addition, and I certainly will buy it again.
