Decent ac unit. I have Haer 10k btu one that cools a little better I feel is the reason for the 4*. Would buy again......don’t think it will live up to the sq footage it says it will.

Easily one of the best air conditioners I've ever bought, keeps my living room and kitchen very comfortable. The remote is ready to understand and even when not using it I never have any problems using the face buttons.

Easy installation & Decent Cooling

I bought two of these after last summer, and am only getting use of them now. This Air conditioner comes with all of the necessities to install it, including window braces, air seal foam block, etc. It was easy to unbox and install. It is sleek and designed well. It cools fairly well, but I find it a little inconsistent, sometimes giving cold air sometimes semi cool air at the same setting. It is set on 70*, and shuts off on auto, saying the room is 68*, while the home thermostat 15 ft away states 72*. The app is terrible, constantly logs out, and takes ages to refresh. Finally, the worst feature of this air conditioner is the noise. It is SO loud. I had to remove it from my bedroom and switch it with a quiet air conditioner unfortunately.

Midea

I bought one of these a few months back and it only last a few months and just stopped cooling. I contacted Midea to use the warranty and they basically didnt care. Went roind and round with them. Jumped through all kinds of hoops to get them to warranty it and they did claim to have sent me a check but ultimately they did nothing. Waited months and never got a check or even any kind of care pr concern it failed within a couple months of purchase. I will NEVER purchase a Midea product again.

Good air conditioner, bad remote

Love the air conditioner. It cools are huge bedroom extremely well. But I dilike the remote. In the dark you cannot tell where the on/off area is. The remote is the size of a credit card and completely flat. It would be better with raised buttons.

does not cool as stated on Unit

Hi, I bought this unit in early July 2019. I had a GE 8000 BTU prior to that for 420 square feet and it worked great. It blew out air forcefully and even not at a high speed fan the coolant worked well and COLD air came out. When you stepped out of the room and back in you could feel the chill. That unit died after 11 months suddenly. I bought this unit as the Sam's Club did not have any GE's in stock. It was mainly what they had and cheap. It seems when it is not too hot outside it cools well. I had suspected it was not cooling to the stated level on the thermostat on the unit so I ordered two room thermometers to test this. I have it running at 62 degrees and both thermostats, one near the unit and one about 15 feet away, the one farther from the unit shows 73 degrees and 52 percent humidity in the room and the one near the unit shows 70.7 degrees and 55 percent humidity. The outdoor temperature is 85 degrees. We are expecting 99 degrees this Saturday and I will further follow the temperature readings indoors with this unit but I am fairly confident that it underperforms when compared to other units. I have called Midea customer care to ask about this and I was hung up on by the system. I would not recommend this unit at this point as the thermometer does not give the stated room temperature.
