Our grandchildren ages 8 and 12 started out with these in the pool. This was their first experience with a kayak. It was about a five minute self taught lesson and they headed for the open water canal. The kayak is so stable, they are even using them as a paddle board. Thanks for hours of enjoyment at a very affordable price and made in the USA.

We first saw these at a big box sport retailer. They are lightweight and manageable by kids but robustly built. We have not tried them in the water however. But this is for the kids to bang around in at the lake and get used to kayaking. Walmart is the only place we could find that includes the paddle and the backrest. The paddle is well made. The backrest is lightweight foam with a nylon adjustable strap. I'm not sure how long it will last before I'll have to make a new one. But it gets the job done.

Cute little "pepto" pink sit on top kayak.  My daughter is 9 & this is perfect for her.  It says up to 120 lbs.  Definitely made for a child.  The pink is super cute & the material is indestructible! This kayak is worth every penny. I bought this before my Husband went for deployment in Afghanistan I thought this would be a great activity for my kids and also to take away their minds from missing their daddy. A great distraction because my kids got something to look forward during weekends and when their off track from school. My kids are so happy so am I. I'm surprised how much weight this little kayak can hold because when my husband came back he get to use it too lol. His not skinny his over 170 pounds although we plan to buy him his own one day when I save up enough money. We love this kayak and I highly recommend this for the family. The kids easily figure how to use it by themselves. This is something my family love to do during summer the we truly enjoy.

I bought this kayak on sale for just over $80 specifically for my two granddaughters, aged 8 and 13. The kayak fit them both well although the older one might grow out of it my next summer. When it came time to try it our on flat, calm water, both of them took right off and had the hang of paddling in no time. Neither one had any prior experience kayaking. I was very impressed by how well the kayak tracked with minimum effort. The older granddaughter even took down some small rapids. Great buy and a lot of fun. Be aware the shipping took close to 2 weeks despite what you are told by the tracking info.

I bought both my grandaughters one for their birthdays. I gave them to them early because their family was going on a camping trip to the lake. They loved them!!! The youngest one told me , best birthday present ever!!! They were all over the lake on them. Very well made and was stable enough that they jumped off them in the water and it never rolled over . Would highly recommend!!!

Just what I was looking for. I'm 70 years old and 128 pounds. so I need something that I could handel. Yes....you will get a little wet, it sits right on top of the water and the sides are lower then a full size kayak, but it fits right in my small suv not on the roof.....already used it three times on the small pond near my home

This is the fifth Wave that I have gotten for my Grandkids,they hold up great and third season for two of them!I recommend them highly and the rice is excellent.None of them weigh more 70 lbs but the kayak is rated at 140lbs!Point being they could easily handle more !

My daughter is 10yrs old and about 65lbs... she handled this like a champ! Very light weight, she can carry it, but stable on the lake. Perfect for beginners. Plus is was clearanced to $75 and free shipping. I love that it wipes clean with a Clorox wipe and sits up in the garage. Will be purchasing another for my nephew!

This was a Christmas gift for my six-year-old grandson and every time he uses it, he thanks me so much and tells me how much he loves it! The only problem is that it’s very difficult for a young person to carry. The finger holds Don’t really work for that so some other kind of design for it to be easily portable is necessary
