I just got it for my kids 5th birthday and he loves it. Within 2 minutes he had a hang of it and was paddling all around on his own and loving his newfound freedom. It’s great that it is so small and light. The plugs to keep water out of the inside of the kayak itself seem cheap but then that solid simple kids kayak. Just what we needed

Great little kayak for kids! My 6 yr old loved it. He figured out how to use it in minutes and was paddling all over the lake. My two year old liked to sit on it and jump off. Very stable well made kayak at a great price! Ordered another one for my daughter and I to use. Max weight is 130 lbs. I was able to paddle around on it. Very fun little kayak

My kids love this kayak. The paddles were a bit short but I needed larger paddles for my tioga so I passed the ones included with that to them. Very easy for my 9 and 10 year olds to carry themselves and easy to maneuver. Next year I'll be moving my 13 year old up to an 8 foot kayak and these 2 will be just for the younger 2 otherwise I wouldn't have hesitated to but a third.

Under normal circumstances I probably wouldn't have left a review. This kayak has to be a speed demon but only if it is purchased in orange. I be this thing can do 300 mph easy on open water in perfect weather conditions. There is a secret button on the paddle handle that opens up and two compartments under the kayak and exposes a futuristic space propulsion system that will launch you straight into hyperdrive. This Kayak has to be hands down the fastest little speed demon watercraft on the face of the earth. This thing will get you an Olympic gold medal easy, Paris 2024 be ready. Get your bottles of champagne ready. You know the saying "If you're not first, you're last", you will have movies made about you after purchasing this sweet water racer. Anyways this is all an assumption since someone stole my credit card info and bought this little orange rocket kayak from Walmart Online. This is the only explanation I could think of for why someone would buy a kayak with a stolen credit card it has to be something extremely special. If I see this kayak in the Olympics I will know for sure who stole my CC information. Anyways I hope this Kayak was worth it. Cheers to your new found love for water adventures.

During my 8 year-old's first trip on the water the boat began leaning and was difficult to control so we took it back to shore and found it was 1/2 full of water! It was shipped to my house only in clear plastic that was not even sealed! Who ships like this???? I had to spend another $20 sealing the pencil eraser size hole after draining it for days! Decent boat but don't buy online. The boat is a nice size, even for adult, but a little too pliable in the sun.

This sit on kayak was very popular with my 7 year old. The yellow version has a clip on back strap for comfort. Our 7 year old couldn't reach the foot rests so plenty of room to grow. Ok for adult to 130 lb. Our 4 year didn't have the coordination, but was happy to be towed. Their complaint was bottom got wet due to flow holes. Other than that it did not take on water. Given short length the line of travel shifts left with right stroke and right with left strok. This didn't trouble them and it zipped along. Light weight can be lifted by grandma. Stackable.

A good, safe, and sturdy kayak. After reading the comments I purchased the yellow one as that was the only boat that came with a back rest. Good solid and easily stored paddle came with it too. The only thing left to purchase was a life vest. My daughter loves it!

Pros : lightweight (my 8 years old can carry it to the water alone). Perfect size. Clever feature to put the paddle at rest in the front. Cons : wish it came with a backrest. Wish the foot steps were closer (my son had to fully extend legs to reach the foot step)

We got this for an 8 yr old boy. The seat molded into the kayak could have been deeper and more prominent. There was a strap back support that was too long to be used for the Dixie of the child And couldn't be made short enough to support him. Frankly I'd spend a little more and get a better shape. On the plus side, we have another exact same kayak and they stack up well in back of most vehicles

I bought 2 of the Kids Kayaks with paddle and they are great for young kids to learn how to paddle. Only problem felt needed a back band when they start using them longer trips.
