I had this 'kids kayak' for years and my grandchildren loved it --- hours of great fun. Everyone wanted a time to kayak on the what we called the 'water wheelbarrow'. Recommend it to anyone. Purchased this one because the other floated away - hope someone is still using it!

Our grandchildren ages 8 and 12 started out with these in the pool. This was their first experience with a kayak. It was about a five minute self taught lesson and they headed for the open water canal. The kayak is so stable, they are even using them as a paddle board. Thanks for hours of enjoyment at a very affordable price and made in the USA.

My wife and I got this kayak for our oldest son for his ninth birthday and I have been surprisingly impressed with this product. I wanted to get him a kayak made out of a more durable and stronger material but those options were out of our price limit and were also too heavy for him. I was hesitant to go with a kayak made of plastic but the lightweight polyethylene has proved me wrong. My son has been kayaking four times so far this summer and the kayak still looks great. I like the feature at the front of the kayak for my son to put his feet into the grooves that are provided and allow him to grow into with a few groove options as he grows. I also liked the underside of the kayak because it has subtle fins and grooves to help home row in a straight line. I am also under the impression that the lightweight design allows him to go farther with each row because of the lack of drag. My opinion and initial impression has changed so much that I am seriously considering getting a lifetime kayak for myself for fishing.

I got one of these for my son's 9th birthday. I needed it quickly, so I did not have time to wait for shipping. The first store I went to was sold out, but I was able to find this Blue one at the second store I visited for $88. The higher online price is probably to cover shipping expenses. This kayak is light enough that my 9-year old can pull it down to the pond and back up to the garage when he is done. It also scoots along the water with ease! I have an aluminum flat-bottom boat with a similar looking paddle to maneuver with, and there is no way I can catch him in my boat. We bought this for our granddaughter's 9th birthday and she loved it. It is very stable in the water allowing her to get on without any tipping. She was able to paddle all around with no problem. The only improvement would be if it came with a backrest pad.

Good quality and the kids can easily navigate with the paddles. I was impressed how stable they appear to be and the kids haven't fallen off them even goofing around on them. The only downside is being flat and with holes in it that it's a challenge to stay dry.

Really excited to take this to the lakes this summer and play around with my daughter. If ordering from Walmart .com make sure to give yourself plenty of time. The day it was stated to arrive it shipped. Just fair warning on even site to store items.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought two of these in 2011 and have used them at least 4 dozen times. They have held up well, even stores in high heat. They are super easy to maneuver, our 4 year old could easily handle the boat. Great item to have around with kids!

My son received this for a birthday gift and was sad to report to me that the hull started cracking. I was super disappointed knowing that it had failed. I took a photo and emailed it to the customer service email address on the website and was thrilled when they agreed to replace it. Not only did they cover the kayak, they shipped it free of charge. That was above and beyond our expectations and my son is so excited to get back out on the water. He loves his little kayak.
