My 9 year old says this kayak is epic! The size works well because she can paddle easily and can carry it herself short distances. This fits in the back of our van so it leaves space on the roof rack for the larger kayaks. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is the handles are a little shallow which makes it hard to get a really good grip on them. However it is very light so still easy to carry.

My 6 year old and 9 year old love these!! You can paddle around or even stand up on them like a paddle board. The easy entry back is a great feature too! We have just played with them in the pool but looking forward to talking them to the lake all summer!

During my 8 year-old's first trip on the water the boat began leaning and was difficult to control so we took it back to shore and found it was 1/2 full of water! It was shipped to my house only in clear plastic that was not even sealed! Who ships like this???? I had to spend another $20 sealing the pencil eraser size hole after draining it for days! Decent boat but don't buy online. The boat is a nice size, even for adult, but a little too pliable in the sun.

I bought this for my 9 year old granddaughter. The kayak handled beautifully. She was very comfortable kayaking in it. The easy on feature in the back was wonderful The service representative was extremely helpful. I will buy more as my other grandchildren learn to swim.

My 6 year old grandson took to this kayak and within minutes, he was out paddling himself around like a pro in the lake. This kayak seems sturdy enough for many summers to come and it was spacious enough to give his little sister a ride. When I upgrade his kayak when he gets older, this one will be passed down to his 3 year old sister. Great buy! Very happy with purchase. :)

Pros- Material is thick and durable, able to stand up to whatever beating kids can throw at it. Across the rocks, sand, concrete, off the back of the truck. Stable in the water. Ok to be left out in the weather without fading. Light enough for them to drag by themselves. Cons- they get wet while rowing, especially their seats. Their shorts, shirts, shoes. So if water is cold, they get cold fast. Even if they put a towel down to sit on, it gets soaked.

My 5-yr old loves it! Will probably work for a couple more years, but not much more than that. It is pretty light, a little awkward to carry the whole thing for just 1 adult, but my child can easily drag it out of the water on to the shore by himself. It seems like it's decent quality, we'll have to see after a full summer next year though.

We had an issue with the kayak and submitted a warranty claim through the Lifetime website. The customer service representative, Ian, was outstanding. He was courteous and competent, he understood our issue and provided a replacement product quickly. We could not ask for anything more. Ian is a credit to the company and we will buy more Lifetime products because we know the company stands behind their products!

We got this kayak for our little guy who is 5. He was just too big to fit in mine with me. He LOVES it! It is so stable and he paddles like a pro. The yellow one that we got came with a seat and paddle. It's a great value and the shipping to home was free. You can't beat that. Wonderful purchase.

This is great for kids under 110 pounds. My daughter uses it fishing with her granpa. But they really don't like the 2 open holes in the front. I think the holes are there to let water drain out, but they also let water come in while rowing. They don't affect performance - your kids just need to know their bums will get wet using these - you don't stay dry. So on a hot day in a nice lake, these are good at cooling you off.
