Honestly this lettuce is hit or miss at times with freshness specifically with pickup. However with everything increasing in price this is still a constant for our family. We enjoy making blue cheese wedge salads with the real bacon bits. Also chopped and mixed with other greens.

The last few times I’ve purchased these they’ve spoiled right away. I’ve gone to use them after a few days and they’re full of slimy brown spots, or they’ll look fine outside but inside they’ll have several brown spots all throughout the interior leaves.

sams lettuce is usually a good choice and value ; this last pack had 'holes' in the bag and the lettuce was turning when we got it . i do ''not" recall these holes before and normally my lettuce is fresh when received [ doing pick up shopping ] and when i picked up this bag ran my finger in the hole and thought someone had 'poked' a hole in my bag when handling -- but the bag had holes all over it . thus -- since i never noticed holes before or ran my finger in it -- this is what i thought might have caused this bag of lettuce to be bad

Limits on only five per customer Is an awful decision. They should just talk more about what needs to be ordered and stock more at the store for Delivery and for in person and pick up so that everybody can get what they need as much as they need. Sams Club is for bulk items and only getting five packages of iceberg. Lettuce is not considered bulk. You need to be able to get more and that is why you go to Sam’s Club to get a lot of something. Very poor decision that I disagree with and very disappointing at Sam’s Club with. I am considering not renewing my membership.

Hmmm...good to have some Iceberg Lettuce handy, always try to purchase a package when in the Club. However, here in Southern Nevada anyway, the lettuce is not always fresh...without browning. So, I try to inspect a couple packages before making a selection. Summer time does not help I guess as my last couple purchases needed to be consumed within a few days as the lettuce quickly goes bad. Days when all the packages look poor, I opt for other Romaine or other options.

For the most part, these have good quality and they’re cheaper because they use part of it for their sandwiches and their deli, and are pretty fresh all the time. They do really good on their quality for these two heads of lettuce. Can’t find a better deal anywhere!

My go to way of getting iceberg lettuce. I wish less plastic was used for packaging and the sizes of the lettuce heads were consistent. They can vary in size way too much for my taste - this is why I often go inside the Club to pick mine instead of picking up curbside.

I did an online order for curbside pickup and the lettuce I got has bad, the lettuce head at the bottom of the bag was rotten, I had to throw it completely to the trash. I wish the employees picking out these items would shop if they were buying the items for themselves.

Brown and slightly slimy. EVEN my husband pointed this out to me when he unloaded the car. IF my Sam's Club wouldn't have closed on us, I would have been able to pick good lettuce. Again, another reason why "grocery pickup" isn't the way to go, but we have been forced to since Sam's Club is no longer convenient.

The produce is really hit or miss when it comes to lettuce. The last time I decided to just save produce shopping for a real grocery store. Old heads with brown at the base and outer leaves , also low density about half the volume of the average head from local grocery.
