good tv

We love this tv. It knows if we have the PlayStation or directv turned on. Let's us access our streaming services directly and has incredible picture and sound. Out of 100 on the sound I barely turn it up, around 25-35. And my hearing is no where near perfect. Watching our football games is fantastic. I used to have trouble following where the ball is, not anymore!! The hookups for the hdmi are easy for my husband reach. My only complaint is it's so big I may need to stop using my sofa table

Dark Picture w/ Poor Skin Tones

Bought this yesterday and will taking it back ASAP. Even with the brightness maxed out it's too dark to enjoy viewing. Resolution is not crisp or sharp and skin tones are off no matter how much you try to adjust it. A real pain to mount on the wall and then turn around and take it back down to return. Going back to buy a Samsung.

65" LG TV

Received TV as a gift for my birthday and to enjoy during my 6 weeks of being confined to house after an upcoming surgery. TV was the easiest one to setup and attach my DirecTV and DVD/VCR to. Everything was picked up automatically with hardly any needed input. The Smart TV apps are a definite complement too. Adding account info for my Amazin Prime and Netflix accounts was simple and in less then 15 minutes the TV was out of the box and ready to use. Color and sound are very good and the TV features are great. The TV location is away from my Internet WiFi and I thought that would be an issue but it wasn't as the TV picked up my WiFi immediately. On the negative side, there was no user manual to help me learn how to use the smart remote. Only 1 remote was included. The remote to me is poorly configured with location of certain items below the sound and channel key. Users with larger hands and fingers will unintentionally press unwanted keys which I do constantly and lose what I was watching and then go through a series of commands to go back. Other then the remote issue the TV is a very good addition for my watching pleasures. I have had the TV since 20 August 2022 when it was delivered. For an Army Retiree in his 70's this TV will be well enjoyed by me!

privacy invasion -- no thanks

The TV itself is pretty good. However, with the most recent software update, you cannot use the streaming functions at all unless you agree to allow LG to thoroughly analyze every show or movie you watch or game you play, regardless of whether you watch through the streaming apps. Since I refuse to agree to that kind of privacy invasion, I basically now have an 86 inch dumb TV with no ability to use any of the "smart" functions that were so heavily advertised.

Terrible

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this TV 2 months ago and had nothing but trouble with it. I have Bluetooth hearing aids and it won't stay connected. The so called "Magic remote arrow point straight. It always way to the right side of the TV. I was sent another one but it does the same thing. I have had 6 LG TV 's and this one is the only one I've problems with.

Good Picture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this TV about a month ago and have been happy with it for the most part. Initial setup was not intuitive, but was able to figure it out after about 30 minutes. Good picture, especially for price.

Extremely poor image.

If it is a nice clear image you are after while watching sport or your average show this TV fails abysmally. Dark smudges appear in bands across the screen which makes the screen look dirty whenever the camera pans. After many conversations with the technical department they say it is normal! After a Software upgrade ECO mode became APS mode and now picture is awful and unwatchable in HD. Most picture modes are awful: Sports, Vivid and Game turned bright to disguise poor upscaling. Cinema mode is akin to watching a movie through a mucky yellow haze. Do not buy this TV. You have been warned.

Just Average

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The response time to move between apps is S--L--O--W. The remote point is NOT enjoyable - it is just weird. When you are back in the home screen if you don't make a selection the TV just starts to play the last app you were on. It was also not easy to set up a sound system to connect to the TV. All in all it was an improvement from our last TV but I would say given the issues I've listed I would say it is just very very average

Great Picture, but system is cumbersome

This tv has a great picture, but it's not very intuitive to use the functions. The remote has too many buttons and the buttons are not tactile. Easy to hit the wrong button. The WEB-OS and set-up functions are cumbersome. Other tv manufactures are recognizing less is more with simple remotes, easy on-screen navigation, and intuitive settings.

I love the TV but...

I bought the TV yesterday (26 Jan 23). Everything went smoothly - unpacking, setup etc. Unfortunately, after turning it on the first time I saw that my picture has a dark section on the left of the TV. I love the TV even with this little flaw but I can't a replacement for two weeks. It is out of stock where I purchased it. It's going to be a long two weeks but in the end I believe the TV will be worth the wait.
