Doesn't set up right. Would not scan alignment page. Connects to wifi, but will not allow printing from app. App says printer is unavailable. HP support doesn't respond. Entirely a waste of time and effort. Complete failure on HP. Huge disappointment.

I have had the printer for 3 weeks now. It prints beautifully, my issue is it squeals EVERY TIME I print. It needs wd40 or something. The sound is like nails on a chalkboard. I have to prepare myself for the squeal in order to get my project printed. I have NEVER had a NEW printer that squeals. I would return it if I had not already opened it. I will not buy another HP again due to this issue

I bought this as the successor to the 6978 & wish I had my old 6978 back. Today, it decided that it wasn't connected to the network. There was no reason for it to not be connected as there were no power outages or surges that had occurred. So like an infant baby, I had to cuddle it, burp it, soothe it to go back to functioning normally. Maybe the humidity level in the house changed by a percentage. It also has trouble grabbing just one piece of paper, so even when it's in the mood to print, it might not do so on the the piece of paper you'd like it to print on. I'd like to throw it against the wall, but why damage a perfectly good wall?

My old officejet stopped working so i replaced with the 8028. The setup for me took about 10 minutes since i already had an account. I am able to print wirelessly from my phone and computer. I also signed up for ink program and received my free ink within 2 weeks.

Found this printer, sold exclusively at Sam’s, but the similarly spec’ed 8025e, cost more at other locations. Nice, not too large or too small, but serves my basement work computer workspace well. I’m satisfied with the features and recommend this printer!

Great printer! I've only had it a couple of weeks. I love how easy and quick the setup was. I've use the copy, print, and double-sided scan feature so far, and is impressed with the ease of use. I like the size, not too big. Not to small. It replaced my HP 8600 Pro I had for about 7 years which I loved. Also liked the fact it comes in 3 different colors. Works well from my laptop as well as my android phone from anywhere in my home.

This is a terrible printer/scanner. I am so disappointed as I've always had HP printers/scanners and this one is not what is advertised. The scanner is unreliable and consistently gives errors when scanning multiple pages so rescanning again and again is required. If you need to scan one page you must put it on the glass then reframe it on your phone (if you are a Mac user) then save it and send it to yourself via their app. You cannot scan any documents directly from the printer/scanner to your computer if you use a Mac (this function is only available for PCs). You must download and use their app to send scans to your Mac in order to use the scanner function so you must have your phone in hand when scanning and control the scan from your phone. The materials used to manufacture this printer/scanner are cheap as well, in comparison to other HP printers/scanners I've purchased in the past. I thought by paying $200, I would have a great printer and scanner but that's not the case. I am so disappointed in HP and am returning this mess of a machine.

Another three-hour "tour" with HP so-called "tech support" trying to get the printer to work properly. And, NO, NO, NO, I don't want to sign up for your pathetic "Instant Ink." There is NO "free" with HP. Very slow printing (almost reminded me of an old dot matrix!) and the general construction seems more like a $99 unit would have. Paper drawer is especially flimsy. Also, scanner will not accept a legal-size page. Most likely will be returning this clunker and looking for another brand of printer.

I've had HP printers for 25years never had any problems but this 8028E is not HP quality. It's noisy. The paper tray is hard to get out & put back in. The tray adjustment for the sides is okay but the adj. to keep the paper forward for 8.5x11 sheet isn't. Have to wiggle the tray to make contact or I get the message paper tray open. Very dissatisfied, wouldn't recommend.

Do not buy this printer unless you are really tech savy, are not elderly and have the strength of 5 big men. The cartridges are impossible to deal with. They have orange caps on them that you can't get off unless you are very strong, we got three of them off and the black one broke and black ink all over me and my beige carpet, I called HP and talked to a very rude man, didn't speak very good english and he hung up on me. I am pretty bent out of shape.
