I really wanted to love this but the bar that supports the machine in the front especially is way too small and it makes the machine wobble. It almost fell completely over to one side while I was on it and Iet me assure you I was not doing anything crazy. Its dangerous to have a machine that uses your weight to glide you into exercises and not have steady legs to support the machine. I am very disappointed in the total gym but I am thankful that Sams Club allowed me to return it.

Love this piece of equipment. We actually own a 24 hour gym but have 3 of these in our 3 different houses. This one piece can do soo many exercises and takes up very little space. Can’t stress how great this is. Get yourself one. Your body will thank you.

I have had the unit assembled for a couple of weeks and used a couple times a day 4 days a weeks. It seems to be good quality and was packed very well. I put it together myself (56 yr old female), but should have waited for DH to help me. I still haven't added the attachments so can't comment on them yet. The mat slips around on hardwood floor but it will be fine for now, as it only really slips when I change the incline. It is pretty heavy and awkward to move. I had to move it to a different room and folding it up to move is not something I want to do very often. It does take up quite a bit of space, so make sure you measure your available area before purchasing. It comes with a couple of videos which I have not reviewed yet. I watched some videos on youtube to get some basic moves down for now. I would like to have a taller platform for squats in order to have knees at a 45 degree angle. I am trying to get an injured ankle to strengthen, and in rehab they had me do squats on a machine called a shuttle, and knees had to be at 45 degrees for correct form in order to work the right muscles. The only real issue I had so far is my Flip Chart has the hole on the wrong side of the cards so it is upside-down. I am going to punch new holes in the other side of the cards and it will be okay. I haven't tried to called them about it since it isn't a big deal. One other thing that annoys me is that when you are doing squats the cable handles hit the floor every time you go up. I tried to hang them out of the way but it seems to put a drag on the gliding motion. So they hang there and bang the floor. I researched a bunch of different models offered at other retailers and this one seemed to be the best bang for your buck in terms of looks, quality and included accessories. Overall, I highly recommend this to anyone looking to get in better shape. Also, all of the questions that I asked here were answered correctly and is much appreciated. So thanks to those who answered. If you have been been thinking about getting one of these, I suggest you get this one before it's gone from Sams. I can't tell you how many times I saw something I wanted at Sams and waited too long and missed out.

I saw an infomercial for the Total gym and went online to price it. Sam's was the least expensive, so I ordered it. I gained 20 pounds during the pandemic, so I wanted to get the weight off. I just received it last week, and I have been using it for 15 minutes a day. I was impressed with how easy it was to set up , but I wasn't prepared for how much I would enjoy working out !! It is so easy to use and you can easily transition from one workout to another. I actually look forward to working out, and can't wait to start to see the results.

The other review says it all about Total Gym XL7.... Received the package 10 days later after ordering online. Everything inside was okay except for some minor complaints, the 2 rollers attached to the calibrated levels post - cracked/broken and also found some scratches and ding on the metals at the gliding thing. I believe the shipping is the culprit. Haven't complained them yet, but I will. About the gym, it's pretty good quality. It's a little pricey for me but I think it's worth it, though. All accessories in the picture are included in the box which I am so happy about. I also have hardwood floor and I put a gym mat under the machine to avoid slippage when using it. I am thinking of getting a Pilates toe bar for my deep squatting if budget is permitted. Overall, I like my purchase and less strain/pain on my back and I am enjoying my workout.

great machine, however the foot board is way to small and low. I will need to purchase a larger/taller one. All of the other attachments make up for this one fault. easy to set up and use. Price is excellent for all of the add ons you get with this machine.

Bought this so I could do basic exercises at home instead of going to a gym. I am a 64 year old man who served in the Army for thirty years. I have found this machine gives you a great way to exercise your whole body in a short amount of time each day. It is providing me all the weight lifting exercises I need to strengthen my legs, abs, arms, and back. Strongly recommend for anyone who has a limited amount of time to exercise each day.

I haven’t been to the gym since Covid started so I’ve been desperately looking for alternatives in my home workout routine. I was slightly hesitant to buy it based on the photos. It just doesn’t look sturdy but once I got it home and set it up, I was pleasantly surprised. I like that it’s compact and I can easy put it away if I need the space. I highly recommend it.

Always wanted one of these and at Sam’s the price was good and it had attachments. Arrived much earlier than estimated. Works great. Leg pull accessory o-ring wouldn’t fit on the glide board hook (faulty hook with extra metal welded on). A couple emails between me and Total Gym and they sent me a new glide board. This machine works great for me for my level to try and build muscle and get/stay in shape as I get older. I’m glad I finally ordered one!

This is an AWESOME machine. I bought my Total Gym no less then 15 years ago and it got it out storage with the covid outbreak. I did replace the rollers and voila back in business. This machine really gives a GREAT workout,very durable and does not take up a lot of space. The exercises are designed to maximize your time by simple transitioning to different exercises using different muscle groups. There are lots of free online videos fitting EVERYONES workout. At this price to workout at home, it's a bargain! If i needed to replace mine I would be buying this one.
