Arrived quickly. Put together in about 30 minutes. All parts/accessories included. Been using for about 2 weeks. Haven’t used dvd. Found a bunch of videos on YouTube. Exactly the type of workout that I was hoping for. Great price through Sam’s!

This XL7 replaces and older model that wore out after years of use. As the ad states, it came with all the attachments, well packaged and was easy to set up. The quality of the XL7 is excellent, the price is much cheaper that the machines advertised on the Total Gym site. If you are considering a Total Gym, this is a great buy.

Will be returning this after spending hours trying to set this up using the manual without luck, no video is available online for this model. I watched the set up for the other models but they were superficial at best. I would recommend that the company be more thoughtful and make a video with details on how to assemble this safely, otherwise, how can the consumer reap any benefits from its product?this is not a piece of light object and I have been hurt in the process trying to assemble this. Now I have to figure out how to get it loaded on my car back to Sam’s.

I purchased this gym system a month ago and have been using it regularly and consistently. The unit arrived without apparent defect and was simple to set up, even if the manual was a little confusing. I originally purchased this system to improve my general fitness and to strengthen muscles to help alleviate symptoms of tech neck. What I like most about this system is how much more fun it is than a BowFlex or typical gym equipment (I can't yet speak for free weights.) Having my body slide along as you perform each exercise makes me feel more connected to the experience; it feels like less of a chore. I have definitely been more excited about my workouts than ever before. I am heavy, but within the weight limits of the machine. It has been able to support my weight, even though I have sat a bit hard onto the glideboard early on. It can be difficult to get off of the machine when performing exercises "upside-down", it's helpful to a have spotter to help you up to avoid any unnecessary stress on the machine (the joints do buckle a bit under load) or injury from falling, tipping, or sliding. The mat is as useless as described in other review--barely long enough to rest under the machine, light, stiff, and slips on hard flooring. A yoga mat, as suggested in another review, would be easier to work with and better stay put. The manual contains a lot of exercises and programs, although the pictures and descriptions of setting them up are not always clear. At this point, if the system were to break, I would look into whether other models are more reliable and purchase one of those. This is the most fun I've had doing any strength training.
