Not at all what I expected. The videos showed a much better looking piece of equipment. This one looks cheaply made. I guess it's ok for beginners that don't want to spend too much on a home gym. Sorry I wasn't satisfied so I returned it. Didn't wamt to give it a horrible review so I gave it 3 stars.

I was skeptical to purchase this but wanted something that wouldn’t create a lot of weight on my upstairs floors, yet would allow me to build muscle and improve cardio. This is now my favorite thing in my gym! Highly recommended, especially if you need low impact or have join trouble or are super short like me and have trouble with normal gym equipment. (I’m 5’, husband loves it too and he’s 5,10)

I just received my Total Gym XL7 from Sam’s Club yesterday. It did get to my house late about 7pm on the second day it was to be delivered. It did not arrive on the first day I was notified but it is here now. The box it came in is very heavy so be ready for that. I have read reviews that said there was not information on how to setup the total gym but mine came with all the information. It was not hard to setup at all. The packaging removal was the hardest part of the setup. Once I had it setup I was able to get a very good work out in. I worked out with one of the DVDs it came with and it was a great workout. I like the fact that this model from Sam’s the XL7 came with so many great attachments it was well worth the money. So much cheaper than going to total gym direct. The cheapest model on their website is almost twice as much money. I am a small man only 5’7” so for me the XL7 model works great for all the exercises I want to do. Taller people might not have the same feelings about this unit as I do. Bottom line it works really well for me. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that wants to try a total gym.

I've had the Total Gym a little over a week and love it (even though I'm still learning how to use the attachments for different eexercises). I set it up myself and I'm 75 and weigh 130 pounds with few problems. It is extremely well made. Couldn't figure out how to unhook the arm pulley, but turned out to be a very simple procedure. A great incentive to work out.

Just got 1 day ago, haven’t fully assembled yet. So far have used just the base? which comes fully assembled. Handles and hardware great quality. Very heavy duty. Someone we know paid $1400. for newest addition, which probably had more accessories. I was looking at other places that sold Total Gyms and almost paid $500. and then someone on a review said Sams Club sold a total gym a lot cheaper and had more accessories. Glad I looked, we paid only $300. for Total Gym XL7. It does prenty for us. It has a lot included. Love it,

This is a nice machine for the money, lots of extras, decent quality. Please read the instructions and warning stickers carefully. You could easily hurt yourself when opening/collapsing this machine - and make sure that C pin is in place before you use it!

I purchased the Total Gym XL7 a few years back and have been using and seeing results. The only problem I am having is reaching their customer service because my flip chart was damaged when my basement flooded during a recent storm. I only need the actual pages and would be happy to pay for them or get a pdf that I can print at home. I tried emailing and leaving messages (no one actually picks up the phone, 800-541-4900) with no response. Disappointed that the manufacturer does not stand by their products and provide customer support.

I am enjoying this machine wish I bought it sooner.
