The microwave works very well and heats up things quickly. I really enjoy it! It would be nice to have a light behind the numbers and options so that it would be easier to see the options. Maybe just darker or bolder print on the keys. I find that it is difficult to read the choices when it is not bright outside or the light is low.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this microwave for a couple of months now and am reasonably happy with my purchase. It does everything I read it would do. I like the many and easy to understand cooking options. The speed is fast but not quite as fast as I was expecting. 1 recommendation I would have for the manufacturer is to have a back light for the control panel.

THE CONTROLS ARE NOT ILLUMINATED!!!
We were really disappointed with one specific problem that became immediately obvious the first day after installing this microwave. THE CONTROLS ARE NOT ILLUMINATED!!! This is not a problem when all the kitchen lights are turned on, but we find it extremely difficult to see the control panel buttons when the kitchen is only partially illuminated. Other than that problem, the microwave works very well. It's just hard to make the microwave work correctly when you cannot see the controls. Users have submitted many pictures of their installed microwaves. In none of those pictures can you see the controls that are located on the front of the microwaves. I would not buy this microwave again, nor would I recommend this microwave. We are very disappointed and we are considering return of this microwave.

A simple microwave that works.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We also bought an LG stove with all the extra features (convection, air fry) so we didn't need anything more than a basic microwave. This was the perfect size for the space we had. Most microwaves were 1/2 to 1 inch taller and the previous owner had tiled the wall almost all the way up to the old microwave.

The install direction reference a template which you do not have until you get the microwave how can you tell if is compatible with your current set up until you open the box. Love the sensor cook technology
Definitely a great buy, love the sleek design and ThinQ app is great features for all LG appliances and I like being able to preset my Microwave nightlight on and off hours so I do not have to manage another item and not waste energy. The list of presets and power modes are easy to use and so far accurate for cooking food times. I even like on the app you can scan food bar code, and it will be able to accurately cook premade foods easier. Overall vent and microwave good quality. We love the 4 speed and boost mode on hood. Easy convertible from recirculating to vented.

New and Outstanding
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our in place microwave failed after almost 13 years. We got the new microwave several weeks ago. We are just learning all of the new things this will do. This is a higher wattage, larger capacity and better appearance than the old one. I was amazed at the low price we paid for this. This unit greatly outperforms the old one. We are transitioning to all LG products and this (along with the range we also bought because they had to match) completed the full LG kitchen.

Not so great
I like the look of the microwave but tje fan is loud and does not catch steam when boiling anything on the front burners...all the steam rises in front of microwave, even on turbo setting. Also should be a bit stronger...have to add an extra 1-2 minutes extra to pop a small bag of popcorn.
Works Fine
I bought this two weeks ago and am still getting use to the functions but so far it does the job. Two slight negatives: The menu items are hard to read in low lighting and becasue it has not as hiabout gh (same width) as my old microwave there is a 2 inch gap above the backsplash that is just drywall. It can only be sen from a distance (unless you are a very short person. I plan to remedy by painting drywall same color as backsplash. Will not be noticeable.
