Over the Range Microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fan does not remove the steam coming from the range very well. Also the light when on high overheats everything, the glass turn tray you can not touch it because it is so hot. The metal surfaces of the front of the microwave get extremely hot to a point that we do not use it due to a potential fire hazard. Very poor engineering. The microwave itself is fine.

Noisy and too hot from lamp.

I purchased the microwave 3 weeks ago. While the features of the microwave work well, we are currently waiting for a replacement. The heat generated by the light installed under the microwave is excessive. The inside bottom of the microwave is so hot when the light is on that it will burn your fingers.

My girlfriend sleeps on the couch sometimes and I do not talk with her if she is not awake as I cannot bother her with any questions. I was at work and the app let me know that the food was done cooking. I knew that she just used the microwave so I knew she was awake. I called and said I knew she was up and she asked how I knew. The microwave told me on my phone. She laughed so hard and I did too. It is a great microwave and it looks good too. Garry Millard

Does everything except mix the ingredients!

Great microwave! Cooks evenly. I like the way you can scan the barcode to cook meals through the LG ThinQ app. You can even tell Alexa to turn things on, on the microwave (light, fan, etc...) ,,,,, The wattage is strong, so it cooks fast less time. Easy to clean. I like the fact there is no handle on the door, a much cleaner look. The dark stainless steel cleans a lot easier than the regular stainless steel. I switch my kitchen to all dark stainless steel.

The buttons stopped working properly. I had to open and close the door several times then press the button for it to work. Thanks God i had the insurance. Allstate sent me a list of technicians when i called them they said they don't fix microwave. Aslo if you're going to get it feom Sam's br patient. I ordered mine March 24, 2024, i didn't receive til April 4. It stops working exactly 2 years ( March 2026). The 2 stars is because it is very beautiful and classy. If youre going to buy it get the 4 year insurance plan.

LG Microwave

We bought this exact microwave 3yrs ago along with the LG stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. All of them ThinkQ. They all scratch %26 chip horribly and just recently after owning them for less than 3yrs, the stove went out, the dishwasher started having issues and powers on %26 off and the dishes now come out half clean and the microwave just up %26 died. I would never buy again. Look nice to begin with but not worth the money considering they all have issues less than 3yrs later. Not a good purchase.

I like it.

I love how this microwave functions, much more powerful than my 20 yo model, not happy that the display does not light up, when I did my search for LG microwaves with back-lit display and this one came up. I had a friend install it for me and he said it was pretty easy. It fit well with the outside ventilation that was part of my old machine. Would I buy it again, probably not, I would purchase one with back-lit display.

Don’t buy this if you are a small person

We just installed this, so I can’t really speak to how well it will work. But the control buttons for the microwave are at the bottom of the front panel, which causes the window on the front to be placed higher. I am five feet tall, and cannot see the food that is being cooked. Also the inside light is very dim, and the glass on the door is very dark, which makes it difficult to see the food as it cooks. Or at least it would, if I could see it to start with. Maybe we didn’t do our due diligence thoroughly enough, but it never occurred to us that this would be an issue.
