For some crazy reason, they thought it was a good idea to put the power lines above ground. That means if a storm comes, the power goes out. It then gets extremely hot. I bought a generator for these times. But, it isn’t powerful enough to run our entire ac system. That’s where this unit comes in. It is the perfect size to put in a room, close the door and be able to get some relief from the heat. It’s easy to move around and set up. This is a must have for your hurricane prep kit.

We also have a futon up there for an extra option where guests can sleep - but during the summer months in Texas, it's really just too hot up there to work or sleep. This DeLonghi portable AC unit is the perfect solution. It was super easy to install and cools the office area so quickly and efficiently - basically making that part of my house useful again. My office is only about 100 square feet, and it cools it off so fast that it's easy to see how it could work to cool spaces 5 times the size. This is seriously a game changer for any part of your home that is difficult to keep cool. Highly recommend!

We had a situation where one room in our home does not cool properly and we have tried everything even having someone out to fix it to no avail so we knew we had to come up with a solution. This air conditioner was definitely it. The window kit makes it easily fit into the bedroom window. The weatherstripping was easy to install around the edges as well. The directions are easy to understand and once I set it up and plugged it in it was blowing cold air immediately. Within 10 minutes the room was noticeably cooler. I actually had to turn it off because the room got too cold! I really love the fact that it has a remote control that I can operate for my nightstand. The digital display is easy to read and the controls are easy to understand. I have a timer set on it to come on during the night and cool for a period of time and then shut off. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has a situation where they have a room that does not cool properly, and they need a window unit able to use one.

It produces very little water while using and keeps the room ice cold with its 500 Sq ft coverage. I would highly recommend this product to anyone searching for a great little air conditioner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently built on to our house, making it bigger than our current central ac can cool. It's also a 130 year old home that isn't insulated the best. It gets very very hot here in south Louisiana. Every afternoon it is almost 90 inside my house even though our thermostat is on 65. I added this portable Ac unit and we are finally cool! I was able to put both units on 72 and it's 72 in my house! Both units are shutting off instead of running all day and my electric bill being sky high. It says it cools 500sq ft but it feels like a much bigger area that it cools. It was very easy to install, it took only minutes. It is made very well and easy to roll from place to place if needed. I'm very happy with the unit and so is all of my family. We aren't miserably hot all the time.
