These are perfect for my husband and I to paddle around the lake with our dogs on the front. They fit perfectly in the back of our minivan. They’re exactly what I hoped for and I am really enjoying them! It’s also very comfortable to sit in it for a while. I thought I might have to buy a pad or something, but I have not needed it at all. You can adjust the back of the seat, so it’s very comfortable. Would highly recommend.

These 2 kayaks plus paddles with free shipping cost the same as a single kayak with shipping. Now i have one for me plus a friend. Good beginner/recreational boat, and light enough so they're easy to throw on top of the car and carry to the launch (& I'm 5' tall). They also fit nicely inside my van.

Very stable, good for lake or pond

These kayaks are my favorite purchase this year. Comfortable, easy to maneuver, adjustable seat, with cup and fishing pole slots. They are light, making them easy to transport. Both my husband and I are novice kayakers. Since purchasing these, we have been on the water every day. The delivery guy from the shipping company was super friendly and communicated with us well before delivery date. The kayaks arrived earlier than expected and in perfect condition. Finally, I am thrilled that these are made and designed in the USA.

The kayaks are stable in the water, easy to load on the top of an Outback, and sized perfectly for an individual kayaker. Sam’s price for a pair was really good too. This is a replacement set of another make of kayaks - we like the Lotus 80s much more.

I bought 2 of the lotus 8 ft sit on top kayaks two years ago. After much use the seats have broken. This company response was very prompt and they are sending replacement seats. Very happy with the service and will definitely buy their products in the future!

Most of the other reviewers were right on target with their reviews of this yak. I have other kayaks and was looking for an inexpensive one to get less experienced members of my family out on the water. The kayak is much more stable than my sit-in yaks. When you first take to the water if you try to lean right and left you will easily feel that there is very little chance of it tipping. My wife went out in a 15-20 mph wind and although the wind made her drift it didn't make her nervous as to possibly tipping. It would certainly be better if it came with a handle in the back as it has in the front. It came with an adjustable backrest which is very comfortable and lightweight break-down paddle. It also comes with one foam plug. However, there are five holes through the hull and unless you want to sit in a puddle of water you'll need to buy plugs for the other four holes. I made plugs out of wine corks and this worked fine. Overall a nice beginner kayak that you are not going to win any speed races in, but, if you're just looking to get someone in the family out in fairly calm waters, then you can't beat it.

I have both a good sit in and good sit on. Grandchildren coming so needed one more so everyone could have their own. The reviews on line for this one were sort of all over the place. But overall it seemed folks would buy it again. I was able to have it sent directly to my local Walmart and it arrived before the promised date. No damage or problems at all (which some reviews spoke to having). I was actually able to get it in my Murano although the front touched the dash. But as single woman, love to be able to get it myself. Got it in the water, and it is sweet. I used one of my good paddles as think paddle not the best, but probably ok. Had a little trouble, out on the water, getting the seat to sit up more, but I accomplished. Took it for a spin and because it is flat and light, it went right over some rather shallow places. i was happy with that. Overall, love it and will probably use it myself over the much more expensive, and heavy to get down to lake ones.

Meh I bought these because thanks to pandemic buying and a plastic shortage, kayaks at a reasonable price are scarce. These I believe are overpriced. I also wanted them to fit in my Crosstour, which they do, so that's a plus. They're not too heavy, 38lbs I think. My daughter and I stack 2 in the hatch, tie them in & go. They track poorly. I have trouble staying straight at all. I paddle hard & sometimes don't get very far at all, so I'm getting a workout. Definitely for flat calm water, which is fine, but don't plan on getting anywhere in a hurry. Comfy for the most part but my feet fall in between 2 rests so I just keep my legs flat. I'm going to want a better boat soon.

Returned because the kayak in the photos is not the same as was received. The one I picked up did not have a handle on the side, the seat was a hard molded seat with a flimsy metal hinge attaching it to the kayak, and the molding was/shape was different. The paperwork was all correct, it had a "lotus" sticker on it. Disappointed.
