I would give it a 0 star if I could. The package I bought was 7 pounds after removing all the excess fat, silver skin, sinuet, and other non edible parts I was left with 2.75 pounds of actual meat. Your better of paying twice the price if you can find it already trimmed. Won't be buying it again.

Not very happy at all with this purchase. I could have saved money by paying more per pound elsewhere. My package weighed 7.05 pounds. After trimming I ended up with only 3.41 pounds of meat with a moderate amount of fat and collagen. The remaining 3.64 pounds was mucosa from the inner part of the mouth and some fat. On the positive side, what little meat that was left was flavorful and came out nice and tender.

I put this on the smoker, it was very tasty. After trimming the fat and silver skin off this I had two pounds of meat and three pounds of waste. Yes, because I was so disappointed in the pile of meat I weighed both piles. I will not buy again. I will not recommend.

Meat was excellent!

Thought I'd try some. Price "looks" cheap at $4 a pound, but it's deceptive. You end up trimming off A TON of fat and membrane. I cut out probably half the package weight so really the price is about $6-$8 a pound for the actual meat. For that price you are better off buying the chuck beef for $6 a pound and save yourself the time trimming..

What came out of the bag was not even remotely similar to any image when you search beef cheeks and unlike anything I've seen labeled that way. I couldn't even get to a full beef cheek because the butchering was so bad and only a small fraction of the weight was usable. They just skinned the face, hacked it up a bit with a cleaver, and vacuum sealed it I think. I'll buy elsewhere in the future unless I find a way to ensure quality.

Everyone putting 1 and 2 stars have no idea how to prepare these. Period.
