Terrible traction, terrible lifespan

These tires came on my 2020 F150. I drove them from new until 50000km. I rotated them every 8000km and always ensured they were properly inflated. These are hands down the worst tires I’ve ever owned. If the road is wet, snowy, icy, or anything aside from a flat level dry surface these tires will struggle to maintain grip and traction. They even got me stuck on an icy road in 4 wheel drive. To top it off by 50000km they were down to 3/32. A totally unacceptable product. Do yourself a favour and get something else.

Great Tire

These tires came on My 2018 Chevy Dually when new and I’ve been quite pleased with their performance. I pull a heavy fifth wheel trailer and have not experienced any issues with traction. However, I’ve never had the truck in snow so I cannot attest to their effectiveness in that situation. I currently have 63000 mi on the truck and will be replacing these tires with the same model at I suspect 70000 mi. That should speak for their longevity.

Great on dry and wet pavement

These tires are great for dry and wet pavement quite and good fuel mileage. Snow not so much. Had to dig out my 4x4 F-150 which was stuck in about 6 inches of snow. Had truck in low gear 4x4 with rear locker engaged and truck would not move with these tires.

Not great on snow

Overall highway driving has been very good and I’ve had no issues. We’re great first 15,000 mi. At 25,000 miles the dealership told me I need new tires. I’ve rotated them every 5,000 miles. They aren’t great in snow now. There is enough tread to make it to next fall as the cost of tires is high to replace just yet. I just have to take it easy on bad weather days. I have 31,000 miles on them now.

Not good in any amount of snow.

These tires came on my new 2019 F150 and I have 30k miles on them. The Primacy XC has the worst traction in snow of any tire I have ever had on a vehicle in 50 years of driving. I am not talking about deep snow, a couple inches of snow will cause them to lose traction. Even with light throttle pressure, they slip and slide. Sometimes I even have to use 4WD when a light turns green so that I do not sit in the intersection spinning my tires and blocking traffic behind me. These tires also tend to hydroplane on slush. I do not understand why these tires are sold in areas that get snow.

Scary in snow! Brand new tires and don't grip!

Tires came on my pre-ordered 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee in January 2022. Not knowing what tires I was going to get, I was impressed they came with Michelins as we've bought Michelins for years and always been satisfied. Living in New Hampshire, it is critical to have tires that do well in the snow. After the first snowfall of just a few inches, I was surprised to see how poorly these tires griped around corners. I was concerned but optimistically thought it's just a matter learning the nuances of a new vehicle. Second snowfall comes (slightly more snow but still not a lot) and it's definitely not the vehicle's handling rather it's the tires. The Jeep slides around corners and doesn't grip well at all. It's very disappointing as we've been repeat Michelin customers (my wife's Acura has them right now) for years. Perhaps these tires would do better in warmer climates? New England isn't where they should be sold. Wouldn't recommend these tires. There are significantly better choices.

Worst tires I have ever had on a truck

These tires came stock on my 2020 F150 and are hands down the worst tires I have ever had on a truck on anything but a dry paved road. How Michelin can advertise these as an All Terrain All Season tires is beyond me. They have absolutely no traction in any amount of snow fall or wet conditions. I had 2 sets of LTX tires on my last truck and was pleased with their performance. Ford must have got these at a good price. Mine will be going in the garbage with 25,000 km on them.

Not a tire to be driven in snow

Michelin's Primacy XC tires came with my new 2018 F150. Once the midwest snow came, I lost confidence in the traction needed to safely control the vehicle. As others have noted, the Primacy XC should not be offered on new vehicles in climates where snow is expected annually.

Poor quality.

Come on my new F150. Teead wear is not great, 35000 miles and the tires are done for. But even more concerning is the quality of the rubber amd how it falls apart. Chunks go missing, and the rubber cracks. Just last week one of the cracks went all the way through and the tire went flat. Before I could get new tires a second did the same. So now I am stuck with 2 flat tires at 36000 miles. I guess I should be happy it happened in the city and not on the highway the week before on my trip, I'm guessing that could have resulted in a blown tire. I would not feel safe with anyone buying these.

Quiet tires, poor performance in snow.

These tires came on my new 2020 F150 that I purchased in March of 2021. I currently have a little less than 20000km on them to date. When I first started driving the truck I was impressed by the ride quality and noise levels. When snow first began to fall is when the trouble started. These tire preform very poorly in any amount of snow. Stopping is a concern with even a light dusting on the road in the very cold conditions of middle Canada and I have been stuck several times this winter in 4-6 inch deep snow while in 4wd.
