I bought a custom decorated cake that you have to order online, even when you are at the club. The process was simple enough. The selection of decorations is very limited for colors and decorations. When you enter the message it is limited and will not allow any punctuation. Once the character limit it just stops even when you type more (no warning) so double check your entry. When I got the cake, the message was printed on an edible sheet and placed in the cake. The color of the lettering was faded and the sheet was wrinkled. Besides looking cheap, the entire sheet slide on the top when the cake was cut. Overall, not the experience I have come to expect from the custom cakes I have ordered in the past. I gave it 2 stars because the cake was good and the decoration (flowers and edge) that was hand made looked good. Would not purchase a custom cake again with this new process.

The cake was the perfect size and delicious. My family loves buttercream and the website made it easy to order and the pay so once I arrived in the store I just had to head over to the bakery area and pick up the cake and leave without standing in line which saved a lot of time. I always will choose Sam’s Club for my bakery needs.

My first time ordering online and I'm EXTREMELY UNSATISFIED! I ordered a white cake and much to my surprise it was CHOCOLATE! PLEASE ADD A FUNCTION IN THE PROCESS THAT CAPTURES "YOUR ORDER " AS NOTHING IS LISTED UNDER THE DETAILS! THANKS FOR DESTROYING MY CELEBRATION!!

The cake was delicious. However, i ordered it online and was limited to 4 (very unattractive) color combinations. I chose one but called the store to see if any changes could be made. I was told to put the colors i actually wanted in the "notes" section. There was no notes section. I went in to the store and a bakery employee made the changes i requested. But when i came to pick up the cake, everything was done in the original colors I didn't want.

Font and colors were different on cake versus what was provided on line. The whole on line process was NOT user friendly- then when I called to confirm two different times- no one answered the phone! I also didn’t like paying for the cake first before even seeing the outcome. Then when I went to pick it up- three people were standing behind the counter and didn’t even acknowledge me until I interrupted them! Customer service has declined significantly!

Horrible customer service. There were about 6 people in the bakery department laughing, and joking however they didn’t stop to help us. They saw us, however didn’t offer to assist us. The associate that did help us finally was so rude and really unpleasant to deal with. Then when calling to see if our cake was ready (multiple days later), we were told it was ready. We went to pick it up all for it to not be ready. In fact, we were handed a blank sheet cake with no print on it and the lady walked off laughing about it. I’m pretty sure her name was Lisa. We eventually got the cake but swore never again and have told many people since then, to not use Sams.

I have ordered cakes from Sam's Club for years. There has always been a nice selection of decorations to choose from and I have never considered going anywhere else. The cakes are always fresh and delicious. Now that I have to order online, there is a VERY limited amount of cake decorations to choose from. Then when I tried to add a message, I couldn't even fit Happy Birthday and my daughter's name!! I am beyond disappointed with this change!! I will not be ordering from your bakery in the future for a customized cake unless something changes.

Had 2 cakes made by sams in the last 2 months the process of doing it online was definitely harder than jut doing it in store with a person. The cakes themselves were good they tasted great and looked as requested and expected and there’s a really quick turn over which is nice or you can put an order in up to a month in advance which is also nice for planning ahead.

The online order for cakes is not computer friendly. It will not let you order the colors you like , limited to three selection. This system sucks.Please bring the employee back . I was very disappointed with my daughter 18th birthday cake . This is the first time in 20 years that I was dissatisfied with the service with Sam’s.

Cake was DELICIOUS! That’s the most important factor- it was moist, yummy, nice 2-layer size and was not flat, like most places, and it was very nicely decorated. One major con- the handwriting on the cake was very sketchy and hard to read. That’s the only minus.
