I bought this little vacuum, the day after we adopted our first ever pet cat. Anticipating a lot of fur, I was willing to spend the the extra money. I couldn't believe e the amount of exsisting dust and dirt in my carpets already. I love this vacuum. We installed and hung it beside a closet in the living room. I reach for it several times a day. I kid you not. The cordless feature makes it less of a burden to vacuum. I'm quite pleased with the battery life as well. I use maximum suction when doing carpets. Can easily do 3 bedrooms and small area rug in the living room. By that time I'm too exhausted to do the basement, and hang it up for a charge. I highly recommend this vacuum.

Great suction on the max setting and very easy to empty the collection bin. Would have preferred some easier way to unclog the machine if/when it gets clogged and would love to have more battery life on the max setting but the lower settings do still have good suction and greatly increase battery life. But over all a good vacuum I would recommend to anyone looking for a cordless vacuum, just keep in mind that it won't clean a whole house on a charge so it is still more designed to work in tandem with another vacuum.

Can't go back to other vacuums. It did very well on my long hair sheep skin rug. Battery life is decent, my apartment is roughly 600sqft. I get quite a few sessions before I need to charge up. Is it worth the price tag? YES. My only concern is the unit's longevity. ie Battery life, motor, plastic components degradation.

I've had my V10 Animal for about three months. I use to have a Big Ball when I lived in a cottage, but this compact cordless model is perfect for my two bedroom condo, the battery charge more than what I usually require to vacuum the whole apartment. However, I do miss having a hardwood floor accessory with soft brittles. I feel this would reach the dust in the seams of my hardwood floor and over the elements at foot level better than the torque drive cleaner head, that is, without having to change accessory. Also, I find the cleaner head a little noisy over my floors. I will admit however that it does a wonderful job on my carpets. If Dyson came out with a soft brittle head for this model, I would be right there buying it. Overall, this is a very good vacuum cleaner.

Purchased this unit so that I could take my V7 Animal out to the Cabin. I struggled as to whether I should've purchased the V11, but just couldn't justify the extra cost. Shipping was great, it came quickly considering COVID-19 & packaging was awesome. I was a bit surprised that an attachment bag wasn't included to house all of the attachments, but decided that the nice bag that came with my V7 would be staying at home. Put everything together & charged her up. I couldn't figure out why the stick kept dropping to the ground, but finally figured out that the plastic knob wasn't clicking fully into the handheld part, I may have to get warranty on this yet, definitely sucks when changing between attachments, hang up the unit, walk away and then hear the machine drop to the floor. Also have to say that it doesn't seem to clean my pets' hair off of my hardwood steps as nice as my other machine, wonder if it's because of the larger rubber nose on the end?? The charging station is nicer than my other machine, you just drop it in, you don't have to tilt it in. These are the things I've noticed in the past month of owning the unit, so far it "meh", it's a vaccuum.

Bought this just over a month ago and am very impressed with how powerful and easy the V10 is to use. I live in a condo with hardwood throughout so this is more than powerful enough, even on the lowest setting. The noise level is very tolerable, even on the maximum setting. Dust no longer piles up as it is easy to bring it out and do a quick clean up - I find it quite enjoyable to use. Even with the higher price tag, I highly recommend this vacuum cleaner to anyone - you won't regret it.

After two weeks of use. Not disappointed at all. Very powerful and easy to use. So far, good time of use per charge: it gets the whole house done on a charge. [1000 sq. ft.] Only suggestion for improvement, I'd prefer a wall mount that doesn't have the unit extending out so far from the wall.

I had previously owned the Animal upright vacuum. I was very pleased with it, but it became heavy and cumbersome to carry up and down the stairs. When I saw the V10 cordless, I couldn't wait to own one. It is lightweight, so powerful and the charge lasts for cleaning my entire house. It always amazes me how much a Dyson vac can suck out of my carpets. My family has allergies and this vacuum definitely helps to keep the air and carpets cleaner. I highly recommend this product.

This is my third Dyson cordless; the online and telephone support for these products is wonderful and it's amazing what they can solve just by the sound your vacuum is making over the phone. The product line has grown a lot over the years so finding something that suits your needs and budget shouldn't be a problem but this means there is much to consider. I do my cleaning from a wheelchair so the cordless feature of these vacuums is my biggest reason to come back to them. The choice of the 'Animal' this time around was to get some additional battery life and power and it does provide those things however for me there are some problems. This model is heavier and not as well balanced as the old V7 Digital Slim that we kept when this purchase was made. These things in particular make using it while sitting more difficult than with the older machine so if you have physical challenges pay special attention to these things when considering which model to buy. The point and shoot feature to empty the contents is OK but long hairs stay trapped around the filter and have to be removed by hand. As with all Dyson vacuums to keep it going you have to click and hold the button whilst maneuvering the machine, it would be nice if they added another click which allowed it to stay running. I realize this could have an impact on the battery run time but it would certainly make it easier to use. With hands that have worsening arthritis it makes using any of these vacuums challenging, and I'm probably not alone in this. We could have returned this last vacuum purchase when the difficulties became apparent but it works for my husband so we kept it. I do use it some of the time, when the V7 battery cannot last long enough for the job that needs doing, but it's not for anything that takes too long. All in all these products are terrific and the pluses far outweigh the minuses just consider all your challenges before you purchase and be sure you are getting a model you can handle comfortably.

I had the V6 for 4 years and it died so I got the V7 in April and it was very disappointing compared to my V6 so I exchanged it for the v10 Animal and it's incredible. Great suction and lasts for so long. I've referred 2 friends to get the v10 as well.
