It was bought last month because the previous generation unit of five plus years of usage was becoming unreliable. I am glad that I waited for the next generation. The suction power was stronger but the torque drive motor head was the big surprise. The V10 head had the power of a canister vacuum cleaner powerhead. The bin ejection was much easier with less mess. However, the trigger was activated when ejecting the bin at times. The only suggestion is to have a two finger trigger with safety lock. Otherwise, well done!

I received my Dyson as a gift and it was the best gift ever! I Love it! It is light, easy to use and the suction is excellent. I have two big dogs and my floors haven't been so clean! It's so easy and convenient to use, my teenage son's have been grabbing it and cleaning up. I would highly recommend this product.

Great suction on the max setting and very easy to empty the collection bin. Would have preferred some easier way to unclog the machine if/when it gets clogged and would love to have more battery life on the max setting but the lower settings do still have good suction and greatly increase battery life. But over all a good vacuum I would recommend to anyone looking for a cordless vacuum, just keep in mind that it won't clean a whole house on a charge so it is still more designed to work in tandem with another vacuum.

Bought this just over a month ago and am very impressed with how powerful and easy the V10 is to use. I live in a condo with hardwood throughout so this is more than powerful enough, even on the lowest setting. The noise level is very tolerable, even on the maximum setting. Dust no longer piles up as it is easy to bring it out and do a quick clean up - I find it quite enjoyable to use. Even with the higher price tag, I highly recommend this vacuum cleaner to anyone - you won't regret it.

I wasn't sure I was going to like this vacuum, going from a traditional upright. It just looked weird and awkward. But omg, I absolutely love this thing. It would be my third Dyson. Yes, it takes a while to get used to holding the trigger, and having a smaller receptacle that needs emptying more frequently, but I feel so free with the the cordless aspect, the smaller head, and the light weight. Instead of lugging out the heavier old upright, undoing the cord, plugging it in, I just unhook the charger cord and connect it to the stick part. Now if I see a little something on the floor I can take care of it right away, 1, 2, 3. The attachments are great. I put them all in a small plastic box with a handle and just take that out of the closet too when I am doing a more deeper cleaning. I just hope the rechargeable battery has a long life.

I bought this 3 weeks ago, and I LOVE it. It's so manoeuvrable, effective and so light and easy to use! I also have a plug in Dyson that is pushing 10 years old and is still going strong, however I wanted a cordless and it has exceeded my expectations. I will be really upset though, if/when the battery begins to have issues since we all know battery things always have issues. I will also note that you have to be really careful how much you fill the small “tank”, and empty VERY frequently.

Bought the V10 for Black Friday ... as with our old V8, suction is great ... but this model has horrible wand to canister attachment. I struggle for 5 to 10 minutes every time I try to empty the bin. It is so frustrating Grr .. no vacuum - even one that had great suction - is worth that level of aggravation .. I will be sending it back !

I've had my V10 Animal for about three months. I use to have a Big Ball when I lived in a cottage, but this compact cordless model is perfect for my two bedroom condo, the battery charge more than what I usually require to vacuum the whole apartment. However, I do miss having a hardwood floor accessory with soft brittles. I feel this would reach the dust in the seams of my hardwood floor and over the elements at foot level better than the torque drive cleaner head, that is, without having to change accessory. Also, I find the cleaner head a little noisy over my floors. I will admit however that it does a wonderful job on my carpets. If Dyson came out with a soft brittle head for this model, I would be right there buying it. Overall, this is a very good vacuum cleaner.

I had a cannister vacuum that was still going strong after 19 years. I had one-level living at the time. Then I moved into my new place - with two sets of stairs. Lugging that cannister up and down (once!) made me see the light and purchase a Dyson. Wow! Lightweight yet super powerful, even on my mix of carpet and hard surfaces, and with pets added into the mix. No cord to mind - I love the 21st century! I am extremely please with the purchase, and I join in with others who say "Should have bought it sooner".
