I've only had this about three weeks, but I'm very pleased so far. My daughter has one for her small apartment and I really liked it. When I saw this on sale at Costco, it was an impulse buy, but I'm glad I purchased it. I had been wanting to replace my 15 year old Black & Decker cordless and I thought this would be a good replacement. The first time I used it, it only lasted about 10 minutes, but I was using it on the highest power. Once I read the directions and used the lowest power setting, I've been able to vacuum all my tile areas with power to spare. The pet hair attachment works great for cat hair on rugs and furniture. I'm not using this as my main vacuum, as I would never expect a cordless vacuum to be able to clean an entire house. However, it works great for keeping the tile floors clean between housekeeper visits. You will have to buy additional hardware for the mounting bracket if you're hanging it on drywall. Overall I am very pleased with his vacuum and I'm glad I purchased it. I would recommend it to anyone as their main vacuum for a small living space, or for larger homes, for convenient, quick pick ups between major cleanings.

I purchased this to replace an original V series vacuum which had finally expired. The replacement is many, many times better, in all aspects. Incredible suction you can feel, great attachments included and quick to charge. It's a breeze to empty and change the attachments. I have an older Dyson canister vacuum but I'm considering selling it. It's gathering dust.

I bought the V10 this week, and quite love it, with 2 exceptions .......... The off/on button is too easy to accidentally depress it when not intending to. Also, in my opinion, the hand grip is too narrow for all fingers to fit comfortably. Considering the weight of the unit which is rather heavy, a "wider and padded" handle would make it much more comfortable to operate, especially for seniors with decreased strength in the hand & arms.

I had a corded stick vac before and, after it was a few months old, it's suction was very limited even after washing the filter. This Dyson is excellent. Light weight and does a great job. My only complaint is that it should have a removable battery.

Lightweight, easy to manoeuvre, and powerful; this vacuum works very well on both laminate and carpet. One of my favourite features is the easy-empty dust basket. The container opens and empties directly into the trash can with the push of a button. No mess or fussing with bags. I'm very pleased with this purchase and wouldn't hesitate to recommend or buy again.

This is our second Dyson stick vacuum and we love it! Now we have one upstairs and one downstairs. Easier to empty bin now and great feature with having the one floor attachment. Does a great job on carpet and/or floors, without having to change the floor attachment. Hope the floor attachment lasts longer than our original one. (Since the unit is made of plastic, using it on rough tile floors can make the plastic come apart).

The cyclone V10's suction is not as strong as the Dyson stowaway, which we had for over 10 years, but does a good job as it is convenient, lightweight, and easy to use. I do enjoy the cordless aspect of it and the ease of emptying the bin. Our old Dyson lasted a long time, so I am hoping that this one will do the same.

I moved from a V6 to the V10, and enjoy the longer battery life and the ease of emptying the large bin. The cleaner head has two little wheels at the front, and a vinyl or silicone strip at the back, I suppose to help it seal to the floor better. However, if you vacuum in a forward and back motion on bare floors, you notice that visible crumbs are being gathered and pushed along behind the cleaner head, not drawn into it on the backward motion. The strip at the back is always rubbing on the floor. So keep moving forward! Also, I wonder if that strip will wear out before the rest of the cleaner head, using it on ceramic with grout seams? Could grains of sand get caught under the strip and scratch the hardwood? Time will tell.

We got our V10 a couple of weeks ago and have been using it for a couple of times. Two fundamental issues: - The vacuum seems to be stuck in a suction mode which I think is the Boost suction mode. This is because the vacuum is very loud and I didn't detect any audible difference when switching between the suction modes. Another reason leads to the second critical issue - When running in stick mode using the soft roller cleaner head and suction mode 1, it would only last for ~ 10 - 12 minutes. This is a far cry from the advertised 35 minute run time.

I've had this vacuum for 2 years so this review is from long term use. Overall, this vacuum is amazing. It does everything you say it does. No problems with suction or performance. My one per peeve is the dust bin was not designed to handle long thick dark hair. I always have to reach deep into the bin to pull out long hairs. It seems that Dyson forgot to look at how to deal with hair that is long, dark, and thick. If you live with folks with long hair that is as strong as superman's.
