I've had two issues, including one off-warranty, and I will say Dyson stands behind this vacuum. They respond right away and I've never been more satisfied with the level of service Dyson provides. It is a good product. In hindsight I wish I had a larger dustbin now that I have a Yellow Labrador ;-). Care is required not to empty the bin "too hard" so as not to break off a small, plastic retaining pin.

This vacuum is a godsend! I have cats and I am an older person. I have a new central vacuum but it is hard to bring out and use. I also had a Shark Rocket corded vacuum. The V10 runs circles around it. I use it for all my cleaning. I have the soft head as well for bare floors. It is great. The suction is fantastic. I tried the boost once and the suction was so powerful it was hard to move on the carpet. I always use medium and low for scatter rugs. That's how powerful it is. I would recommend this definitely. It will be your last vacuum you buy.

I have had my Dyson for just 10 days and I am so impressed by its amazing ability to remove dog hair I didn't even know was embedded in my carpet! The dirt and hair it has taken out simply amazes me. I strongly recommend this vacuum for anyone who owns a dog.

Bought it a few days ago and right away I put it to the test. —LONG REVIEW— First off, my old vacuum: Was using 7 year old corded vacuum that I had to dismantle (full dismantle with screwdrivers) a few times a year just to keep it running efficiently. It was cumbersome and heavy and I thought it was doing a thorough job. Was a hassle to clean the house with it. Compared to this vacuum, my old clunker was barely trying. The Dyson Animal V10: For the first clean I ran it hard, and I mean hard. It ran about 25 minutes on the highest setting, to be expected for the battery life. It pulled dirt, hair, dander… you name it it pulled it from the carpet. I just stood there shaking my head because I truly thought my last vacuum was cleaning as it pulled dirt too but, not like this. This Dyson is an efficiency king. The next run: I put it on the middle setting. Ran for about 40-45 min before it needed to rest/cooldown and recharge. In that time; I did the hardwood floors, kitchen, went back over the carpets, hallway, got the cobwebs out of the ceiling corners (couldn't do that with my last vacuum!) and again…. The amount of dirt it pulled up! All the hard surface floors I was sweeping the traditional way first then vaccuming with my clunker and then having to go back behind it with a static collection pad on a swiffer then mop. You get the idea…. Long and tedious. A task I could do once a week. With this Dyson, it's a daily spruce up now. Heck, it's going to reduce the amount I mop simply because of how well it cleans the floors! I swear it polishes them from how the brushes are on the floor. After this clean: (cleaning the vacuum itself) I read the manual and decided to learn how to clean the vacuum and set to task. No screwdrivers needed. It's easy to wipe out with a damp cloth, to clear the brushes with debris. All you need is a keyring, the metal ring itself to easily turn the dials on the two brush heads to release the brushes. The ease of cleaning the vacuum was not even comparable to my old one. The Dyson took me 10 minutes. Albeit I had to air out the filter after I rinsed it out which took a while. Just have to let that rest and I recommend having a fan blow air onto it so it dries faster. 3rd clean: Lowest setting, just a touch up. I thought I did an amazing job the past couple days but this thing surprised me still. The canister was halfway full of fur, dander, and things as I quickly took 15 min to do my house. This thing just can't be beat. On the lowest setting, it was still able to show me that it was working hard. Even when the previous two days I put it to the test and thought there was no way there was anything left, this thing proved me wrong again. Battery didn't even drop a bar on the display and it cleaned what my dog managed to shed the previous night. All in all: This thing is lightweight, easy to change attachments, and can't be beat in its efficiency of dirt collection and disposal. It's also easy to clean and take care of. After 3 days, my house is much cleaner. I do have to say though, this thing made me feel like I was living in filth and that I had never cleaned in my life. It put my Previous vacuum to absolute shame. All that time spent with my old one seems like wasted efforts compared to this Dyson beast. Alas; I have this thing now and sneezing less! Bonus: it's much quieter! My dog doesn't run from it anymore. He actually likes it! Con: one attachment I wish dyson would make for these, a hose attachment. Cause this thing would be amazing for cleaning out a car but it's a bit bulky to get under seats. In fact, a hose would help for any tight spaces. Just hold the unit on one hand and clean with the other with whatever other attachment you need on the opposite end of the hose. So all in all, this vacuum is well worth the price. 5/5. It does exactly as advertised.

The best vacuum we have ever purchased. Powerful suction and lightweight so it's easy to use with no bags to purchase. One charge does all our hardwood , ceramic and area rugs in our 2300sq ft home plus cleaning is very easy with no canister or electrical cord to deal with. We are both 60 and wish the V10 had been around when we were in our 30's with kids. Exceptional quality at a very reasonable price.

Only had it now for a month but so far so good. Only negative is the power brush head is a bit small if you are using for a big house. There is an larger version you can upgrade to. And it's a little hard to release the long wand but I am hoping this gets easier with use.

Great suction on the max setting and very easy to empty the collection bin. Would have preferred some easier way to unclog the machine if/when it gets clogged and would love to have more battery life on the max setting but the lower settings do still have good suction and greatly increase battery life. But over all a good vacuum I would recommend to anyone looking for a cordless vacuum, just keep in mind that it won't clean a whole house on a charge so it is still more designed to work in tandem with another vacuum.

I bought this vacuum a year ago and it worked great for the first month. After that I was so disappointed. I do have a dog with longish hair, which is why I purchased this model, but it doesn't work. It constantly looses suction and the smallest amount of hair clogs it up. I even tried vacuuming more often 2-3 times a week to see if that would help, so it was never vacuuming up a lot of dog hair at one time, and it still would stop working. I followed all the care and maintenance instructions and it just doesn't work. This is the second cordless Dyson vacuum I've owned, the first one I had, after using it for about a year, the power only would last maybe 10 minutes. I thought I had done something wrong so I decided to give Dyson another chance and I regret that decision. These vacuums are expensive, I've had two and have been disappointed in the performance of both. They do not work as advertised. I do not recommend.

These just simply aren't up to the task with larger dogs that have a lot of hair. Gets clogged easily and often, and at the end of the day I spend as much time taking it apart to get the clogs out as I do actually vacuuming. Boost setting requires everything be in practically new condition, and that excludes it having been in contact with any form dust. Looks cool and all, says Animal on it, but there a lot of more robust products at much lower prices out there (I have one, although it isn't cordless which is always more expensive). Not worth the price tag either way. Also the universal ball joint on the main vacuum head gets stuck in weird positions, and the pieces don't really go together smoothly. I don't really get why these are coveted machines.

I received my Dyson as a gift and it was the best gift ever! I Love it! It is light, easy to use and the suction is excellent. I have two big dogs and my floors haven't been so clean! It's so easy and convenient to use, my teenage son's have been grabbing it and cleaning up. I would highly recommend this product.
