Texas tamale company gourmet pork tamales are some of the best tasting and for the money also best value for two dozen tamales.

Not exactly traditional handmade, they are too perfectly shaped, but excellent taste and texture. Might be the best tamales, IMHO, I've ever eaten.

I never write reviews, but civic duty compels me to tell all far and wide to avoid these absolutely awful excuses for tamales like the biohazard they are. I only tried one and spit it out. The tamales are small, and filled with a revolting mystery meat mush that somehow managed to have two very large chunks of cartilage still present. Protect yourselves and your loved ones and do not purchase these.

I tried the tamales for the first time yesterday and they were delicious! The tamales didn't have too much masa and are thin which is perfect to go with other Mexican dishes. I'm going back to Sam's today to get some more tamales to put in the freezer. Very delicious tamales!

These are the best tamales ever! They remind me of the tamales we used to buy from the people selling them on the side of the road in Texas. We steamed them in a skillet on the stove and they were perfect. Seasoned perfectly too. I ordered two more after tasting these. Hopefully Sams Club will keep stocking them.

Dear Sams Club, I need more of these please! Hope they are back in stock soon. Easy to make. Better steamed, but microwaved according to package directions works great too. Mild in flavor, great texture. Quick and easy to make as a midnight snack or with a fried egg and refried beans for breakfast. Any time really!!

These are the worst tamales I have ever tasted! There was so much spice in ours I believe it was to hide the terrible taste of the supposed pork filling. When I opened the package I was surprised by the size of these things, small like a taquito. The packaging says "No Lard" but mine were so greasy/oily and the red from the seasoning was a mess. There was no improving these by covering them with cheese or salsa or anything else. Big waste of money.

Absolutely disgusting! The “meat” is ground up like paste. It looks repulsive %26 tastes worse, like dog food. There's an odd hot spice to it %26 too much cumin. I've never had a tamale taste like this. I thought the size would be great at holiday pot luck but no one thought they looked appetizing enough to even put on their plate. I even had a delicious green chile sauce to put on top %26 that didn't even save them. They went in the trash.

If you like canned tamales, you might like these. The stuffing has a paste like consistency that we both thought did not resemble meat and the spice did not taste fresh to us, but reminded us of the canned tamale spice. It has a strong aftertaste that we didn't like. We are throwing the rest away. I see that other people like them, but we were disappointed.
