I lived in San Antonio several years and this is the closest I can find to the real thing.

I've been trying to find good store-bought tamales for years and have been disappointed. I was afraid these would be bland. They are very spicy and delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed them. They froze well and heated well in the microwave. The filling was a good ratio to corn tortillas. I recommend chasing them with ice cold milk. Enjoy.

These are good authentic texmex tamales. They are small, like authentic tamales and there are 2 dozen in a pkg. MUCH better than Padre brand (1 dozen for more money and indigestion). SamsClub has stopped carrying these sadly.

The smaller tamales were the reason I wanted to try this brand. I am on a low salt diet which with tamales I've never had a problem. I prepared some for my son who is on a regular diet. The tamales had so much salt in them I could not eat them after preparing them. My son - who loves salt - didn't eat his as well. If you are into an abundance of salt, these tamales are for you. I am throwing mine away along with the $$ spent. Very disappointed.

I bought these to try and to my surprise they are great tasting. Some of the best premade I have had.

Great tasting, taste almost like homemade

We loved them! It's a quick, easy, economical family dinner. I hope they stick around.
