Better than remembered. Even my Sister liked them.

I really enjoy tamales. I have bought Texas brand tamales before, but it’s been a while. I don’t usually buy them because they are a bit expensive at most grocery stores for a dozen. When I saw them as Sam’s at that price, I had to get some. They were better than I remembered. They only had the pork version that I could see. I usually get beef or chicken, but these were excellent. My sister usually will not eat store bought tamales, but she tried these and really liked them.

Small but good

Having made tamales myself, I appreciate these tamales. They are not big. But they are good smothered in Wolf brand chili (thinned with a bit of water, and beefed up with a touch of Better Than Bouillon Roasted Beef Base) onions, and cheddar cheese. Then they taste like a dish from a Tex Mex restaurant.

Happily surprised

Been craving tamales all holiday season and decided to give these a try. Popped them in the rice cooker to steam and they came out so delicious!
