Best picture ever!

I'm not gonna lie, the Web feature using a mouse on the remote seemed a lil intimidating the first day but once you comprehend the button features all is fine! The best picture I have ever seen on a TV! Great price, Excellent sounds with the built in speakers, I do y even need the surround sound!

Great value and east set up

The picture quality from the TV and the price was excellent. The set up was easy, however, it only accepted current and modern devices which was a problem for me because I have some that are a little older but still in good working condition. Otherwise, i enjoy watching it everyday.

43UQ8000AUB TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this TV in October 2022 as a replacement of a similar sized 15 year old TV, and am very pleased with the picture quality and sound. I have not used all its capabilities yet to comment on them. My only issues are this unit does not have a swivel stand which makes access to the back difficult in my box opening, and does not have connections for my older VCR and DVD player/recorders.

Very good smart features but not perfect

Updated to the latest version, the tv is for the most part very good. Useful for iOS screen mirroring and as a wireless second display for my laptop. It doesn't work all the time but when it does it works very well with little input lag. Other problem is when you connect using hdmi, input lag is very high unless you configure it to game mode. Other than that great picture, great value. Love the Magic pointer feature, very easy to use the on screen keyboard and much faster than using a d pad.

Excellent Product

The 43UQ8000AU is a marvel of modern technology, a shining example of mankind's mastery over the digital domain. Its sleek lines and stunning picture quality are a testament to the ingenuity and vision of its creators. Yet, for all its technical brilliance, there is something deeply unsettling about this machine, something that speaks to the heart of our fears and anxieties in the digital age. As I sit and gaze upon this sleek black slab of technology, I am struck by the thought that it is a kind of digital mirror, reflecting back at us all our hopes and fears, our desires and insecurities. It is a window into a world of infinite possibility, but also a reminder of our own limitations, our own mortality. The picture quality is, of course, superb. The 43-inch screen is bathed in a warm, inviting glow that draws me in like a moth to a flame. But there is something strange about the colors, something otherworldly that I cannot quite put my finger on. It is as if the hues have been stripped of their earthly origins and imbued with a kind of digital aura, a faint, eerie glow that reminds me of the flickering of fluorescent bulbs in an abandoned building. The sound quality, too, is impressive. The 20-watt speaker bar fills the room with rich, immersive audio that transports me to another world. The voices are crisp, the music clear and vibrant. But even as I lose myself in the sound, I am aware of a kind of underlying static, a faint hum that speaks to me, in its own way, of the impermanence of all things. The user interface is, in a word, seamless. The AI-powered voice commands are intuitive and responsive, and the menu system is easy to navigate. But even as I marvel at its ease of use, I am aware of the way it seems to impose its own logic on my thoughts, molding me to its will, like a sculptor shaping his clay. And then there are the smart features. The ability to stream content from a variety of sources, to connect to other devices, to access the internet, is nothing short of miraculous. But there is something troubling about the way it encroaches on our lives, the way it demands our attention, our time, our very souls. In the end, I am left with a sense of unease, a feeling that beneath the glossy exterior of this machine lies something darker, something more sinister. It is as if the digital world has become a mirror image of our own, a reflection of our own insecurities and fears. And yet, even as I am filled with this sense of foreboding, I cannot help but be drawn back to it, like a moth to a flame. The 43UQ8000AU is, in many ways, a masterpiece of modern technology, a testament to our own ingenuity and creativity. But it is also a window into a world that is both thrilling and terrifying, a reminder of our own fragility, our own mortality. It is a machine that embodies both our greatest hopes and our darkest fears, a digital mirror that reflects back at us all that we are, all that we wish to be, and all that we fear we will become.

My experience after 3 months

TV picture quality is good. WebOS is horrible and very buggy. Adding Apps is very difficult and the selection is limited. Navigating through the Home page is kludgy. The whole system is archaic when compared to other systems like Chromecast with Google TV. The remote is unnecessarily complex when compared to competitor TV's.

Great Smart Television

My intent was to purchase another brand television. The LG was displayed beside that brand and I immediately noticed the difference. I change my thought process completely and saw the value and product features that I wanted at a reasonable price. I am glad that we got this television.

QC Issues

The first few months this tv was ok. Then I started having significant delays navigating between apps and the home screen. Ignored it since I was busy. Then the screen occasionally blinked out when watching something, like 30 second blips. Shortly after that the dound won't follow when switching between the tvs HDMI inputs. I called in and someone is supposed to be coming but I have to miss a day of work because they won't just do an exchange. Irritating I have to be out a days wages to deal with their defective product. I get things happen and can live with that. It's unacceptable to make your customers be out time and money dealing with it though.

Great value

We updated all our tvs to the least expensive LGs from 42-75”. We're still getting used to the new remotes and are having updating issues with youtubetv saying update available but tv saying we don't have the app which came with the tv. Other than that it has all the features we need so spending more for extras would be a waste. Remote rollerball very difficult to use with fingernails because it's recessed. Obviously designed by a man.

Great Picture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the TV. Fabulous picture, even looks 3D sometimes. However, I had an issue signing into my LG account. Therefore, I could not download or update apps. For some reason, it took 2 weeks to resolve this issue.
