In order to compare apples to apples I opted for and old standby. The 3-2-1 pork spare rib smoke. Executed countless times on my old smoker. 2 racks of ribs covers with my favorite rub (it’s mine, sorry…get your own). Set the smoker up at 225 DegF…temp control on this smoker is great. Monitored on the app and had a 2-3 DegF deviation and the majority of the time dead on 225. The result…WOW…WOW…All I can say is…WOW!!! The Z Grill definitely showed its colors. Temperature control spot on. Speaking of the App…it needs some work…nothing that other reviews haven’t pointed out. Work on some updates. Next smoke will be some beef cheeks (Barbacoa!!!). This is a definite upgrade from my Pit Boss…

Purchased the 1000D4E (WIFI) ZGRILL buy 1 get 10 free. I'm a first timer with a pellet grill. Smoked a slab of pork ribs. Wow, they look great, and the taste was awesome. My wife stated that I'm a grill master now. Ha Ha. If you're on the fence in purchasing a ZGrill, like I was. I would recommend purchasing one as they are totally worth the investment.

So far it's been great very easy to understand manual to put together, I did the burn off like the book said I also watched a video. I cooked for the first time last night, cooked some deer tendloin they turned out great, I'm still learning the grill and how it cooks. Thank you for having a great pellet grill this is my first ever pellet grill.

From the time that I ordered my grill I received it in 2 days and it took an hour to put it together. I’ve used it twice now and it has been very easy to use the app and grill controls. Overall a very simple grill to use and I look forward to using it more this summer.

This grill is currently one of the best values available ANYWHERE. This is a top notch unit. It is huge, extremely sturdy, easy to build and great quality all around. The double-walled construction means it reaches temps very quickly, and holds them easily. In fact once set to a temperature it is within a couple degrees for as long as the unit is on. Everything I have cooked on this has been absolutely amazing. The "Super Smoke" and "Keep Warm" modes are great to have. The former will make TONS of smoke while the temps swing back and forth between 160-200F, and the latter is the perfect setting to let your meat "rest", and will hold a good temp until you re ready to serve. In spite of the gigantic size the grill is very efficient and uses pellets sparingly. I doubt I will be buying much barbeque anymore since I can make my own for a fraction of the price. My only complaints are so minor it cannot lose a star! I would love to see hooks for accessories, though magnet hooks on the hopper bin will work well. And a under-grill access to the firepot would have been nice for cleanout, but it's not terribly tough to get there through the grill and this encourages keeping the racks and deflector clean as well. If you are on the fence I would say buy it. I doubt you will be disappointed.

Still waiting to fire up however compared to my mystery grill this is certainly made well and surprisingly easy to assemble . Had many new features including WI/FI , removable adh tray and a way to get pellets out! May not sound all that great however my lady grill caught fire in the pellet box and I had to disassemble it from grill to clean out. Anyway I am on target this weekend to put it through a grilling!

I’ve been using a stand up 4 shelf smoker for 5 years. My new zgrill is like a night and day difference. So much easier to use. I’ve had it put together for a week now and wish I’d bought one years ago. Definitely happy with my purchase. It was also not horrible to put together.

As the previous owner of several other brands of pellet grills (GMG, Traeger, Weber SmokeFire and Camp Chef) I can honestly say that this grill has the most bang for the buck. If you're looking for killer grill marks and great searing action, then look elsewhere. If it's a great smoker with modern features you want, then this is your grill. My first cook was 2,10lb Boston Butts that went unwrapped for 21 hours at 215. This grill held temps like a champ and the double wall construction kept the heat in and pellet consumption low. The WiFi connectivity, although basic, did its job and I was able to monitor temps accurately. You won't find a better pellet grill at this price point ($499.00) on the market anywhere. If you're on the fence, don't wait and get it at this price while you can. You won't regret it!

Build quality is great. It's obvious they took great care in the packaging for shipping. That says a lot to me about attention to details. It was an simple assembly. I did use power tools so it was a little quicker. I like the wifi and phone app feature. Came with two thermometer probes, a sturdy grill cover, and smoking tube. First item smoked was a turkey. Could've used a little more smoke flavor but probably due to cooking at a higher temperature. The outside temperature was 18 degrees farenheit and the PID did a great job keeping the temperature consistent. I'll try a brisket next but will cook at a lower temp and use the smoking tube. Hopefully will get better results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just set up new 1000 with Bluetooth and probes. This thing cook my 4 corned beef’s to perfection. 180 over night, bumped to 225 in the morning. Wrapped when they got to 180, pulled off at 204. Let rest. Man! They were the best. This is my second zgrille in 5 years - and my old one is still kicking.
