Seems to be a nice enough small grill. It took two of us almost 2 hours to assemble with the booklet, but not sure the 45 minutes the Bilt app claims is really possible! Most of all though, I extremely disappointed that the cast iron grates aren't porcelain coated as advertised on the box and display sticker!! Where I can trade these grates in for the porcelain coated ones! Also a bit disappointing that it doesn't come with a cover. I'll say recommend to a friend, but only with the stipulation the porcelain coated grates would come with it as advertised.

Our fourteen year old daughter had not eaten meat in two years. Things looked bleak. Vitamin deficiencies and restaurant difficulty plagued her with all the intensity of a strange new-age virus. Oh the horror! But faith, we all must have faith. Since the arrival of this grill, she had begun to eat meat again. Gone are the days of anemic sorrow. Gone are the days of being awkward at friends’ houses on bbq night. This grill has helped her transcend her fears and rejoin the bulk of society.

I just bought this yesterday at my local Sam’s club. Had it onsale for $119.00. Killer price. I was in the look out for a new grill as my old one (dyno glo) was rusting out bad. Took it home and put it together and couldn’t believe it was the grill listed online for $299. Took about an hr to assemble alone. Definitely season the grill before using!! I had one little scuff mark on a handle but no biggie. The cast iron grates are super thick Came with a nice cover as well. Christened the grill last night with some delicious ribeye steaks!

I usually have nothing but good to say about Sam's products but not this time. I ordered this grill because it was on sale, it was exactly what I had been looking for, and I was eventually going to have to replace my old 12 year old Weber grill anyway. The assembly was pretty easy and it is a very nice looking grill. However, after assembly, I noticed the front door had two dents in it. Also, when testing it I discovered the electronic igniter would not work. I called Permasteel (warranty Co.) and after sending them a copy of receipt and pictures of the door, they agreed to replace the door and send a new igniter module. So, about a week and a half later, I get the parts and replace the igniter module. Once again, there was no spark. So I did what I should have done in the beginning and tested the igniter modules and both tested good. So that just leaves the wiring and/or the control knobs on the front panel. I asked Permasteel for advice and they said they would send the wiring. However, after thinking about it further, I am getting real leery about keeping this grill. I've have had it since the end of August and still haven't been able to use it. I wonder if the wiring is going to fix the problem since to determine that, I would have to remove the front panel, disassemble the control knobs to test the wires. This is getting to be a lot more work than I bargained for and I'm worried this may just be the start of problems to come. So, as much as I hate wasting all this time and effort, I'm loading it all in my SUV and returning it to Sam's for a refund. I think I've learned my lesson on which brand of grills to buy. I am giving it three stars only because it looks great, was easy to assemble, and because Permasteel's response to my problems was fantastic. A big shout out to them and Elizabeth for her support!

We bought this grill to replace a large 5 burner, plus side burner grill that rusted badly. The quality of materials and metal gauges used in this grill are impressive. We downsized because we don’t do a lot of big party entertaining any more; but this grill did not really let us down in that department as the grilling area is about 70% of a standard 4 burner grill. BE PREPARED! This grill has a lot of assembly! The instructions in the book are clear with drawings and photos. The suggested assembly video app (Bilt) installed on my iPhone, but the file for this product failed to load. The error message said that they were aware of this and were working on the problem. It’s about two weeks later as I write this review, I checked and its now fixed. There was one error in the instruction booklet. It shows the installation of a rear horizontal support bracket in a location that will prevent the large grease tray from sliding in and out of place. However, luckily there is another predrilled hole one position down where this bracket should be mounted. Speaking of the grease tray, this system is another of this grill’s design wins! It uses a large tray to catch solids and it slopes into a smaller grease cup that slides out for easy emptying. The large drip tray also slides out and is easily washed and returned clean and “E viola”! No more grease fires! Side trays are sturdy and fold away easily to allow you to cover this grill with a very economical small sized grill cover. Only downside is the amount of assembly, but hey, for this price to get a well engineered and top quality product; don’t complain! Grille a steak!
