not what I thought

Specifications state : "2-4" of real foam (Styro/EPS) insulation in every panel" This is not what I thought I was ordering. In the pictures and videos I looked at, the insulation showed a full piece of foam insulation in the wall panels. When I opened the box, foam fill beads were everywhere. Two wall panels had the plugs pooped out and half the styro foam beads were in the box. And it was WAY too messy to try and fill the panel walls back up. I would not have bought this had I know it wasn't full length insulation panels.

Product not what we expected!

Dog House was discolored as if it had been used. The blue insulation had come out in shipping and was all over the box, so when we opened it, it was everywhere. We put together by the instructions and when we tried to move it, it found apart. Very Disappointed!!!

$$$ Great Deal $$$

The price at Sam's Club was much more reasonable than any where else I could find. I bought this for my German Shepherd and live in Oregon. Because it stays warm inside, the heater would only be for extreme cold. The fan would be good for warmer weather in the summer months but not necessary here. I really like the option to open the triangle windows for ventilation and they screw in very easily right above. There is a video on the ASL web site that shows how to put it together. It was a little trickier than the video showed but I managed. Pictured is Carman with her new dog house.

great dog house

This dog house has really lived up to its description. My old dog houses were very cold in winter and provided only shelter. This one is insulated and when I put my hand inside to check on the dogs I can feel the difference in the temperature. It's actually warm in there. It did take two of us to put it together (two women) but took less than 15 minutes. The dogs took to it right away after I put about five treats inside individually and held the door partially open so they could see them. They love it and spend most of their time in there. I bought two since my dogs are big and although I worried about the price I can honestly say they are well worth it. I also had them delivered to my home and shipping was cheap at six dollars each. Great value!

Hands down the BEST outdoor Dog or Cat House!

This is my 2nd ASL Solutions Insulated Dog Palace. I love that they're truly insulated. The first one I bought about 5 years ago. It was smaller and I used it for my outdoor cats. I also put in a heater (plastic pig type) for winter and the cats loved it. Now I have a large breed pup and wanted it to have warmth in the winter on days it is outside. I love that this "Dog Palace" is insulated and the door is removable for warm weather. Plus of course, I will be buying another heater before winter so I also like that there is a hole for the cord to run through it in the back. Can't go wrong with this!

Good house

I have four of these -- Loved the first two so much, I ordered 2 more. My only complaint is the those 2 came with no assembly instructions or hardware. I went to site and contacted from website. No response. Went to hardware store and bought what I needed but ?????

Cat house for rescues

Using this insulated house and heater in backyard garage for many rescued feral cats. All cats were live trapped, spay & neutered. Nice warm heat draws them in on cold days. I removed lower swinging door and used towel to cover bottom opening. Not too difficult to put together but need a rubber mallet and strength.—-

Poor quality

Got this bed delivered yesterday and right from the start you can see its our quality. First off there was small foam pieces everywhere. Once it was put together the pieces didn't fit right and only stay together with 4 screws that barley hang on to the plastic. The roof had an extremely thin area of plastic that literally look like it was going to tear apart. The interior cavities of the walls aren't filled all the way with foam. If you put a flash light to the dog house in the dark you can see empty spots where it hasn't been filled. They use little pieces of foam to fill the walls so it never is completely filled. I'm taking this back to sams. For $200 this thing should snap together easy, fit tight,be strong and have all walls full of foam.

Mixed results

Well enginered with great features. Love the insulation & drain hole. If rain gets in it just drains out. Assembly is easy but the end panels wouldn't plug together. I eventually got them to push together, but there were some gaps I had to caulk. I blame it on possibly the panels warping. The floor heater worked well for one month then died. Even considering the problems I would still buy it again. There's just nothing out there that compares. Can't put the bottom part of the door on yet because the dog just won't use it with it on. It's a neglected dog down the road from me on a chain that had very little shelter. She's much better off now.
