Great Gym Great Price

I am very happy with this gym. I had no issues with delivery. Boxes arrived when expected and in good condition. It took me 9 hours over three days to put together by myself (58 yr female). No missing parts. It’s all illustration for install but if you follow the pictures carefully, take your time, you can figure it out ok. The gym itself has a lot of different exercises and I really enjoy using it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive (got on sale so this was an added bonus), good quality in home gym.

Sturdy, functional, affordable

My husband and I decided to cancel our gym memberships and buy this instead. It's a very sturdy machine and it does it all. We love that we can work out so many of our muscles with just one machine. It's perfect for a busy lifestyle. My husband is a big guy and it holds up just fine while he uses it. I love that it the level of weight is so flexible so that it works well for both of us.

Not a bad beginner machine

No major complaints. Setup wasn’t that hard and instructions are not terrible if you pay attention. My complaints are 1. The beauty panel for the weights makes it difficult to get to the bottom plate ( I’m actually going to reverse the plates) 2. There’s not a lot of room for taller people do do presses Otherwise, so far I’m very happy with the machine

Great equipment

Do not count on the delivery date the Club tells you. Speak to the actual delivery team, they are helpful and provide accurate info. As for the equipment, be ready to take your time putting it together. Lots of pieces and parts but the directions and the way they package the little pieces is the best I've seen. Super easy to follow the steps. Haven't used it but to test working and everything seems very sturdy and will hold up. Well built.

Nice home gym but it has some frustrating issues

Love the black and grey colors and how sleek it is. I am leaving the back weight cover off to give it a more minimalist look and less busy/cluttered in the room. It took about 3 hours to put together then we realized that one of the welded parts was welded wrong and the wheel would not fit into the slot. This caused the pulley system to not be able to be installed (see 3rd %26 4th picture). I called the company and they shipped out the parts which took about a week and half. HIGHLY recommend you check the pulley roll pieces (and make sure all parts are in the box) in the slots before you start or you will have to take apart the machine to fix issues. Also pay good attention to each part and the top of the page on which part you need or else you will have to take things apart to fix it. It took another 2.5 hours to do the cable system because he had to redo a few cables because directions weren't the best on cable positioning. I was upset when I saw a review stating the minimum weight to start with is 17lbs. If you have neck or shoulders issues like I do this could be a problem for you. It states the maximum weight is 300 but no minimum weight is shown. It would be very helpful to show minimum weight for people with physical limitations. I was able to lift with just the top weight only to start with. Other then those few issues the machine looks and functions great. I do wish there was more illustrations on the directions/manual to show you how to hook up the bars etc. Sam's helped me with the issues I had and provided great customer service. Put on a movie so the time goes by quicker :)

Great Home Gym Unit

I had been keeping an eye on a couple of the Marcy Home Gym systems on the Sam's Club website. The one that I originally wanted sold out and was no longer available. When I noticed the price on this unit went down by 200 I said okay time to buy it. The freight company contacted me about delivery and each of the boxes were in good shape. I all by my lonesome started to unpack everything making note of each item on the enclosed documentation. Everything was accounted for and I started assembly, I took my time off and on for maybe three days. Everything on this unit works as it should and I am very happy with this product.

DO NOT ORDER THIS ONLINE!!

Please take my advice. Do not order this online. After taking a day off work to receive it, the shipment never arrived. The next day I received a call to “schedule delivery”, after having received multiple emails confirming the delivery date as a the day that I stayed home from work. I returned the call to the driver. No answer and no voicemail set up. I called again and again. No answer and each call was declined. So, I texted. The delivery company read the text and ignored it. I arrived home from work to find the shipment DUMPED in my driveway, broken, spilling out everywhere, and missing the two smaller boxes. The delivery was supposed to be signature required. Had I been home, I would have refused delivery due to the damages and missing boxes. Now I have to wait for Sam's to pick up the shambles of the shipment in order to get a refund. Sam's if you read these reviews, please DO BETTER! Hire only reputable delivery services. The cost savings from hiring cut-rate delivery carriers will only serve to alienate more customers like myself. This was my first and last online large order purchase from Sam's!

Not that hard to assemble

We bought this on sale in the store and just finished putting it together. We had read reviews that said it was very difficult to assemble and were dreading it, but it was actually pretty simple. It took us about five hours (we're slow). Our suggestions: 1. While one person could put it together, it is definitely easier with two. 2. The allen wrenches/hex keys are included but you also need an adjustable wrench. Better yet, a socket wrench with a 5/8" socket and one smaller (sorry, I can't remember the size). 3. There are no written directions but the diagrams are very good; study them closely, take your time, and do things in the order they tell you to. Pay attention to the drawing of the wrench and hex key on each page -- if there is a diagonal line through it it means don't fully tighten the bolt yet. Otherwise, you can. 4. All the fasteners came separated and labeled/numbered, attached to three sheets of cardboard. You need scissors or a utility knife to cut the plastic holding them in place. Each step of assembly shows you what fasteners you will need for that step. At each step I put only the necessary fasteners in a bowl, leaving the rest attached to the card. ***For some weird reason one bolt, two washers and a nut were loose in the bottom of the box; I think they fell out of one of the bags. I set them aside and ultimately they were used towards the end of assembly on the end of the lower cable. Check your box and all the bags. 5. The only tricky part was installing the cables and some of the pulley wheels. Look ahead a page or two and also look at the pictures on the box and it will make sense. Make sure the cables are on the wheels. That's it. I just tried it out and so far it seems great; hopefully, it will hold up. I'm female, 5'4" and it looks like I will be able to use everything. I had wanted a home gym for a long time but space was an issue; this one doesn't take up a lot of space. I'll re-review it if something goes wrong but for now, I'm happy with my purchase.

Bare bones, nothing fancy, but a great bargain.

This set up is amazing. Easy enough to build it with one person until it came to pullies and cables and then the instructions looked more like a science experiment gone wrong. Thankful that an engineer took total control at that point. Check that every part is there before you start. It makes it a lot easier to build knowing what you are looking for. Between the two booklets, you can run back and forth between the two to get pictures and names of each part. For less than $400 bucks with tax this is a bargain. It will serve it's purpose which is to get some strength training and build some muscle tone for a 61 year old 107 lb female with a bum (not so dominant anymore) arm. Not sure if a 6 ft plus male would be as happy.

If you are 6 foot this is not for you

The bad, if you are 6 foot or taller this machine is too small for you. I am 5'11 and when I sit on the bench my head hits the mechanism for the chest press. When using the lat pull down I do not get a complete range of motion. I also have a hardtime fitting my knees behind the leg extension arm when I sit on the bench. Triceps/bicep curls do jot give a full range of motion due to the length of the cable. On bicep curls I can not even pull the bar completely to my chest before the cable reaches its maximum length. The good...it's a solidly built machine that is easy to assemble. Wide range of exercises that can be done. If you are shorter than me this is a great set to get you started.
