I applied Scotts weed & feed one time on my lawn last spring which was totally infested with weeds and dandelions. This spring there's a noticeable difference. Very few weeds and dandelions and the grass looks healthier. I did aerate first, a few days before applying. Will be applying again this spring and fall. It's kind of hard to find the right weather in the pacific north west to apply it more than a few times a year. I'm not big on using chemicals but the lawn needed help!

Easily applied and super happy with the results. We get longer lasting results than our neighbor who gets his sprayed every month and for way less of a price too!

I applied this product, as directed, to my whole lawn last year, 2016. Three days later, yes, you read that right, THREE DAYS LATER, every leaf had fallen off my full grown Bradford pear tree. Not only did this product kill my tree, but it didn't kill patches of clover. Luckily, it did not harm my shrubs or roses. I waited until this spring, in hopes that it might come back, before having it removed. The twigs and branches just snapped off! It was quite sad, as this was the only shade I had in my front yard. Immediately after the leaves fell, I sent in a copy of receipt and barcode, and the company did refund the cost of the product. I also told them that if the tree didn't pull out of the damage, that I would be contacting them this spring, which I did. At first the company seemed concerned and wanted to work with me on the cost of removing the dead tree and replacing with a new tree. Upon receiving copies of my costs to remove the dead tree and stump, and estimates for replacing the tree, they immediately started balking and refused to pay for ANY removal/replacement costs. Save your trees and leave this product on the shelf!

had a horrible experience I bought the bag perfect size for my yard brought it home put in the spreader and it looked like wet sand and never having used the product before I thought that was supposed to look instead of like pellets. I tried to attempt to spread it on my lawn it gummed up my spreader got stuck in there and I've been messing with it ever since and it's a little bit caustic to my hands very disappointed. additionally I brought this back home on my motorcycle don't know what Imma do about it now. Funnel it back into the bag and haul back on bike?!?

I imagine most of the negative reviews are because of FAILURE to carefully read and follow the instructions…. Especially regarding pending precipitation in the forecast and APPLY THE WEED AND FEED PRODUCT ONTO WET GRASS. I cut my grass 2 settings shorter the day before. TURN OFF MY SPRINKLER SYSTEM AFTER I water the lawn the NEXT morning. I then apply the weed and feed double checking there is NO RAIN in the forecast For the next 24 hours…. AGAIN MAKING SURE MY SPRINKLER SYSTEM WONT COME ON THE NEXT DAY! My lawn is a lush green carpet and I won’t trust any other product for it than Scott’s.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I put down the Scotts Turf Builder Weed & Feed about 6 weeks after using another Scotts fertilizer product. I also watered the yard a while before applying. The product was uniform and flowed through the spreader evenly. It was easy to see on the yard and appeared to be uniformly spread. A few weeds showed results in two to three days and the areas with thicker weeds started turning yellow and then reddish orange after 4 or 5 days. After ten days, all weeds I had bee watching were completely gone. I have used Scotts products for a number of years and have had very good success with them all.

I have a field to the right of me and a lawn next to me that is full of dandelions every spring. If any try creeping in my lawn after I use Scotts, then I will dig them up and leave them lay to show the rest of the dandelions that we mean business ;)

I have always trusted Scott’s products and still do. I am a little disappointed in the amount of coverage I was able to achieve. I recently bought a new house and wanted to start my new yard off right. My total lot is 16K for sq/ft and I bought a 12K bag. Also on a side note the price of Scott’s vs a private label had me questioning which one to use. Thinking it would cover most if not all do to buildings and driveway. I ended up running out and buying another 4K bag to try and finish. Again more money! The setting on the bag was 7.25 for a drop spreader. So after I was done I thought I must have done something wrong. I check the calibration on the Scott’s drop spreader, all good. Then I read online how to apply and came across the setting of 5 for a drop spreader. Wait this differed to what the bag said at 7.25. This would make sense as to why I ran out. When comparing these two setting it has you using 45% more product. Next time I am going to measure a smaller area of my yard and double check the rate at which it is being applied is accurate. Scott’s, please check your settings and make sure they are correct. I used half again as much product as I was supposed to and I hope I don’t have adverse effects.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who takes pride in my yard, I prefer to always use Scotts turf builder weed and feed. It helps to keep my lawn looking amazing. Virtually all of the dandelions and clover are gone and I feel my lawn looks very lush and green. I apply with my Scotts spreader to a wet lawn.
